A really good first episode of The Americans. Looks like it should be a pretty sweet show.

Did anyone else watch it?

I haven't watched it yet. Still need to watch this week's episode of Justified as well.

The pilot was pretty good. Will definitely keep watching for now to see what happens. The only thing that confused me was the flashbacks. They were supposed to be in their teens yet they didn't use younger actors or good enough makeup to make them look younger. Keri Russell looked exactly the same lol.

The main characters are not depicted as evil at all, just "normal" Americans, thus the name of the show. It's too early to tell if it's going to be a disguised USA chant, but I'm sensing the purpose of the show is that US viewers are supposed to be rooting for the characters to defect.

Another solid episode tonight.

All in all, it's a pretty good show. It's not quite up there with the top tier of awesomeness (GoT/Justified/Breaking Bad/Walking Dead/etc)... but it's entertaining and I like it.

Yea I'm liking this show too. They're really sloppy with getting the time period stuff correct though. Like when Philip spills that briefcase full of money everywhere, they are the new style dollar bills that didn't even exist until the late 90's and this show takes place in 1982. Lol.

Nah, I stopped a long time ago. It seemed more like a show about marital problems than a Cold War spy show.
