This year's draft is looking like the Shaq/Zo draft where you've got two good things, then pick 3 could end up with the same career as pick 20. The draft always becomes a case of the have-not franchises making boneheaded decisions at the top (Bucks and Hawks take Bogut and M. Williams over C. Paul, even D. Williams was a stretch back then, but then again, Utah historically knows what it's doing). Plus, look at the way the last few lotteries have gone, not exactly the NBA giving away picks to its top markets:
Stern also had a lot of reasons NOT to reward the Knicks last year. What could have been worse than Oden or Durant going into that cesspool of an organization?
Just watch, now that they have fired Isiah and are supposedly turning over a new leaf they will get rewarded in the lottery, being the important market that they are.

The fact of the matter is luck is merely statistics. If we have not been lucky in the past that means we have a greater chance of being lucky this time. What number do you think Rose should wear?
The Twolves have never improved their draft position in the 11 years that the team has spent in the lottery. Not sure why that would change now.
