Man I'm anxious for this game. What an ugly series this has been, bytheway.

Celtics 91
Cavs 89

ps - Doc: PLAY Powe!!

For pretty much 13 games straight Ray Allen has been hot fyckin donkey ball sack trash nuts. He has not warranted 40 minutes a game. Posey, despite his less than stellar D on Lebron, is more than capable of containing Wally, rebounding the ball well, scoring in spurts, and making smart decisions. Ray, on the other hand, isn't playing defense well, he isn't scoring well, and has no confidence in his shot.

I'm convincing myself that Ray will have a break out game, but when 12 games in a row go by with not much change, one gets a bit pessimistic. My confidence with Posey out there in his place is much higher, which is unfortunate given Ray's talent. But I really have no answer for Glen on whether or not Ray should sit a bit more. It's hard to gauge.

One thing is for sure, Powe brings energy and hustle. PJ Brown isn't doing a poor job, but he's so damn old! To challenge Lebron streaking to the rim, to complement KG shooting jumpers (yea, yea...go to the rim please), Glen needs Powe and/or Baby down low. Why go away from what worked so well during the season?

Celtics 87
Cavs 86

LeBron misses a makeable but tough jumper with Posey in his face and KG flying out as time expires.

Great game, way to go C's. Maybe that will shutup a few of the haters.

PP and LeBron were studly.

Ray Allen blows nuts. He's gotta be injured or something. There is no other explanation for his pitiful play.

C's vs Pistons is going to be a great series! I'm stoked! And... Game 1 is the night of the Draft Lottery... ahhhhh I...... Can't.... Wait.....
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

I did not see a great game. I saw great play by PP and LB but not 2 great teams playing. The series in general was ugly.

By \"great game\", I really meant it was exciting and the desired outcome (e.g. C's winning) happened to come true. So yeah, its not like it was great overall team basketball by any means.

C's are going to lose the series with Detroit either way unless they play significantly better.

That's definitely a possibility. The Pistons will be fully rested and Chauncey should be 100% as well. Will not be easy going, that's for sure.

I have a gut feeling that this Pistons series could be another ugly one.

I had chills last night watching the Celtics lineups announced. That carried me until the first commercial great during which the C's were playing great. When they came back from the break the rest of the 1st Quarter was TERRRRRRIIBBLEE.

LeBron is fantastic at the end of the game. The last minute was never ending with LeBron able to get to rim with 1.5 seconds going off the clock... over and over.

Did you guys see Paul Pierce's lower lip quivering as that lucky free throw was bouncing up high in the air. That was bad @$$.

Man Paul Pierce was great. From opening tip to the last buzzer he really willed this team to victory. I thought that jump ball with a minute left was a great indicator of The Truth showing that he had more heart than Lebron, and that he was willing his team to the victory more than anyone else in the game.

And what can I say? The Walking Fossil PJ Brown came up huge with 2 big buckets in the 4th. I still think Powe is getting screwed, but I can't argue with the results yesterday. 2 big PJ buckets in the final 2 minutes.

Even though Eddie House barely made a scratch in the boxscore, I thought his presence was huge at times. His swagger was important. You gotta feel happy for Eddie.

I didn't see the box score yet, but even I will admit that I got a little frustrated at times by KG's \"overpassing\" & not making more of an imprint on scoring the basketball. His D & rebounding were supersolid as always though.

And Ray Allen? My goodness. I was happy to see Doc have the nuts to sit him for a majority of the 4th. Well the C's moved on and start fresh of Tuesday. I have been waiting for this series for a looonnng time. I have no reason to believe it won't go the full 7 games once again!

PS - Wally sucks. For some reason I get a big kick out of watching him get worked out there, and yesterday provided many a laugh for me in this regard. I enjoyed his 0 point, 4 foul statline, as well as the play when Eddie House beat him down the court by a mile, & when KG forced him to dribble it off his knee & took it the length on him the other way for the and 1. And Wally was the Wolves' 2nd best player for many many years. ouch.

Did you see Paul pierce lay on the ground near death after sitting on a camera man? I'm getting real tired of the bad acting put on by the players looking for flagrants. Z actually was dragged to the ground in what the announcers said should have been a flagrant. He just got up and walked away. Apparantly it's \"unmanly\" to act that way in Lithuania.
Flopping is bad enough but this feighning injury is an insult to the game.

BTW, KG missed another critical jumper. He is lucky that the Celtics pulled it out despite his lack of crunch time skills.

I almost guarantee that the Pistons win one of the first two games to steal home-court advantage for the series. The Pistons will then go on to win the series as Boston cannot win on the road.

Nice post. I love the note on Eddie House. No one is talking about him because he isn't filling the statline but I haven't seen him make a mistake either. I'd have the ball in his hands over Ray Allen's any day of the week. What is so shocking about Allen's demise is that not only is his jumper gone so is his ball handling.

How old is PJ? He's been in this role of the designated over the hill solid guy for a playoff run for a decade it seems. Did a \"young PJ Brown\" every really exist?

Everyone but KG seems to realize that Kendrick Perkins getting a decent look off a great KG pass IS NOT a higher percentage play than KG just shooting. Could it take Perkins any longer to catch a pass, gather it up and dunk it. I could drink my morning coffee in the time it takes him.

Finally... one game out of the first 14 where KG didn't have to carry the team. PP was a beast! You could tell he wanted it more than anyone else out on the court.

I don't have the time or desire to even articulate how ignorant that comment is.
