Everything I've said is that I think the Lakers have a very good chance to win this game. However, I'm not going to officially pick against the C's at home.

Celtics 101
Lakers 99

Kobe chooses not to shoot the last shot, instead passing to Turiaf who is forced to throw up a three at the buzzer... which he misses of course.
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

Lakers 90

Ray Allen scores 20 but gives up 12 on turnovers.

I think it will be close and no matter how the next three games turn out, we're going to have Game 5 in LA at 2-2.

I'll go with the C's and say that the Lakers will win two straight before we get a classic and pivotal game 5.

Celts - 93

Lakers - 88

That's my guy feeling as well Jeremy. 1&2 to Boston and 3&4 to LA.

Game 5? That's a tough call. I could see the Lakers pulling the home sweep, sending all of Boston into a panic and then the C's pulling out two clutch, clutch wins.

I am starting to get the feeling that it is destiny that Boston wins. There is something to say about veterans in the league, especially the big 3. Regardless of how they rank skill wise in the NBA today one fact stands true. They are professionals who know how to play the game. They are tested and they have the desire. One thing that happens when you grow older is that your heart gets bigger. I think Boston has more heart than LA. Look at what experience and heart did for them in the first game. PJ Brown? 38 years old? Wasn't playing when he got the call? LA is a better team. Boston will win.

Preach!

I'm still partly in shock that Boston is in the Finals *this* season. I thought it would take at least two years with KG, maybe even a little more...

That would be sweet. Then we'll know that KG brought a little of that Twin Cities \"No Place Like Dome\" magic with him a'la 87 and 91.

I notice the same sequence of events everytime Boston squanders a lead. The backcourt, Pierce, and Posey bring the ball up like it's a scrimmage, proceed to sit up top and pass back and forth like idiots, and then either turn the ball over or give someone the ball with little to work with on the shot clock. The 4&5 positions rarely see the ball, a telling sign that the offense is NOT being run at all. Pisses me off.
Regardless... WOOOOHOOOO F U KOBE HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
Agreed, fyck him.
Celtics up 2-0!!!!!! Loved it... Rondo and Powe were STUDS!
Agreed. I never understood why you loved Rondo so much last year. I do now.

Disagree. He played like monkeyshyt last night.

I love it when he starts complaining.

As I previously stated, The Lakers finesse their way into playing defense and it translates into Gasol, Odom, Turiaf, and anyone else down low being the scapegoats. Powe and Pierce dominated inside. Last game it was Brown and KG. Lakers are too little....With that said, I'm sure the Lakers will try to blow the Celtics out in game 3 using the militia of shooters they have.

I am glad we are in agreeance about most of this, namely these two things. And to think every ripped on me for drafting Rondo. Tsk Tsk... shame on them.

CELTICS WIN WHOO-HOOO!!!!!!

Man that 3rd quarter was just awesome. Minus the last 7 minutes, what a spectacular showing from the C's. It was good to see them get to the rack last night (thank you Leon Powe).

Rondo - Great to see the behind-the-back-fake-pass make its debut in the Finals, resulting in an assist to a Slam.

Pierce - Wow. Whenever they need something big, there he is. He's just playing unbelievable right now, and his D has been great as well.

KG - Subpar offensive game from the ticket...He probably had less of an impact on O than 4 other Celtics. That should change next game.

Perkins - Is he injured, or was he just benched a lot because PJ & Powe played so well?

Powe - Classic. Awesome.

Cassell - Get off my court!

Kobe - I thoroughly enjoyed watching the frustration build inside of him. You could just see it. He was trying to cover it up, but it showed through. Unfortunately, those last 7 minutes probably erased a lot of his angst. We'll see though. Like I say, he's the ultimate frontrunner.

Odom & Pau - They disappear too much for being 2nd & 3rd options, and their D game & intensity is lacking. My guess is that will change in game 3.

Turiaf - Love the cornrow ponytail.

Boston Crowd - I was worried that the crowd didn't seem quite as good in some of these playoff games as I had expected. Last night they seemed to be nuts though, good to see.

The Toine - V Neck, blingin watch, woman by his side, good to see him, although he never seemed to be cheering.

Big Papi - 3 seats down from The Toine, rockin a C's hat & jersey (I couldn't tell who's jersey it was though). That's what I'm talkin about.

CELTICS WIN! 2 MORE GAMES!!!!!

All they need to do is win one of 3 in LA, and they basically have the 'chip on lock. I'm feeling veerrrry confident. They have looked far superior in the 1st 2 games.
