That's not putting any knock on him but I think it simply points out that in today's NBA, you need either TWO Superstars and a bunch of good roleplayers(Think Miami in '06) or THREE Superstars and a bunch of solid old and young roleplayers(Think....well...THIS TEAM Boston).
And the more I think about it, the more I truly believe that we will never achieve that level of greatness with McFail making the decisions at GM.
I agree. I find it odd how Taylor will spend big bucks to sign so-so players to long-term contracts (Marko, T-Hud, etc) but he won't spend money on quality players, be it through contract extensions (Cassell) or free agents/trades (Iverson, etc).
We've had horrible drafts over the years. Trading Ray Allen and Brandon Roy away, drafting Ebi, etc.
I think we will keep sucking until McHale and/or Taylor is gone.
