Bummer. I was kinda hoping that they would go 82-0.

Apropros, the Wolves have the least amount of wins of any team in the league, 1:

Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

I was going to make a post very similar to this, but you beat me to it.

Ironic, isn't it?
The Celtics are the only team in the league with less than 2 losses.
We are the only team in the league with less than 2 wins.

What better evidence could you have for KG winning his second MVP award than that?

I'm out of the East Coast tomorrow so I won't be able to watch all the Celtics game anymore. I've watched most of them and can confidently say that the Celtics are NOWHERE near good basketball right now, at least offensively. They are sputtering through their sets, Ray is still lost, Tony Allen is a completely different player (very bad right now...needs some confidence), KG doesn't really get his role yet, Rondo's confidence is still growing, and a slew of other things.

Point is, at 8 - 1 The Celtics STILL have a long, long ways to go. We all know what the Spurs, Suns, Mavs, and Pistons have offer. But teams like The Celtics, Magic, and maybe the Nuggets are going to pose a lot of problems for those inveterate powerhouses.

On the other hand, The Wolves need Foye like never before. What is the worst record in league history?

Good question. I don't think anyone's ever been in single digits. I kind of remember the Cavs finishing around 12-13 a few years back.

Very interesting. Thanks for the first-hand insight, Daddy.

I think it was the year that the Nuggets had the worst record in the mid ninetees... I believe they had 9 wins. So, that sets them at 9-73. I'm about 90% confident that's correct, because I remember them being under double digits.

That could be right. I wasn't really a huge follower of the NBA in general back then, just the Wolves and the playoffs. I actually hope it's right because I hate the Thuggets and think it's incredible that they had the most pathetic season ever!

We WILL win 10 games this year, although we're currently barely on pace.

Ok... I was pretty close. I had the record correct, but the team wrong. Also, the Nuggets tied for the SECOND worst record ever at 11-71 in 1997-98.

The worst record ever was the Philadelphia 76'ers at 9-73 in 1972-73.
