Wow, Celtics catch a HUGE break there. I bet the Front Office is sooooooooo glad he's retiring. He still gets paid for 2 more years (super lame and dumb contract rule, wtf?), but at least now the Celtics can trade his "contract" and get the salary off their cap figure. They should be able to do that at some point within two years if they need/want the flexibility.
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

Yeah, exactly.

Maybe someone else more "popular" had this idea somewhere too, but I came up with the idea of having NBA contracts be guaranteed for only 50% of the total value.

Wouldn't that alone help out the messed up NBA financial situation immensely? I think it would. It might not solve everything and/or prevent the lockout, but its billions of miles ahead of the way it is now.

Yeah the 50% and no signing bonuses would be solid. That'd be fairly equivalent to the NFL's 0% but huge signing bonuses to make a mess of things.

Agreed.

I will email a link to this thread to David Stern, pronto. Hopefully he knows how to use a computer/the internet.

If the man can pay off the refs to make sure the Lakers win i'm sure he can pay off someone else to use a computer

Stephen A. Smith was on the Dan Patrick Show this morning and said that Sheed told him he was planning on coming out of retirement and rejoining the Celtics at the end of the season to make another run at the title. So basically the same thing he did last year, except then he was spending his retirement strolling around on the court.

I can't even imagine what kind of shape Sheed would be in. I bet he's already bigger than Shaq right now. I wonder if he's informed Ainge about his plan, and what Danny's reaction was. It'd be brutal watching Sheed and JON compete for who could be more worthless and detrimental to the team's success.

Can't wait. Call up Rashard Lewis and get Sheed some of his Roids to get him ready for the playoffs. Hilarious. They should play him, KG, and Shaq together. That is the angriest, meanest front line ever. They will just foul the shit out of Lebron and Wade until they can't get up.
