So, the first game is the Heat vs. Celtics in Boston.

What is going to happen? What do you think the spread will be, and who wins? I'll say...

Spread: I'll say it's a PICK. I mean, I think the Heat would be favored, but its in Boston. And its the first game, so who knows what the Heat will look like playing together.

Result: I'll go with Boston to win. They should be fired up, and they are healthy (minus Perkins) and at home.

All I know is if the Heat are favored in this game I'm betting big on the Celtics.
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

I think it'll open very very close but action will move the game to the Heat by 3.5. The Heat has a lot more to prove than the Celtics do and I think they win by a narrow margin.

I would definitely take the Celtics +3.5 I wouldn't take them at +1.5 or less though, which is what it should be imo. However, there will most likely be a TON of public money on the Heat because they will be so popular this year, which (hopefully) pushes the line way up as you said.

I'll put my money on the celtics on this game for the reason being that the Celtics are going to show Miami and everyone else in the East that in order to get to the finals you got to go through them.

The Celtics two biggest weaknesses are: Age and a Mediocre Bench. Considering this is the first game so the fogies should be rested and The Heat's bench is just as mediocre there's no reason they should lose. Especially since it's a home game for them.

Only three ways the Celtics lose:
- LeBron just goes off and has a monster game showing all the haters up (although I see him trying to do this and it biting the Heat in the ass to be a more likely scenario)
- the Heat magically have their identity figured out already
- injury to Pierce, Rondo or Garnett and they can't play or miss majority of game.

Line is Heat by 1.5. Over/Under 188.5

Ill take the C's.

Lets go with:

Celtics 101
cHeat 98

...With a rejuvinated KG leading the way with a vintage 20/10.

Wade is going to reinjure his hammy or whatever it was.

Lebron is going to tear his ACL.

Bosh is going come out on the floor dressed as a tranny and will score 60 points because no one wants to guard him.

Mike Miller's drunk brother will be in the stands wearing rings on his fingers.

Celtics win.

I know I hate the Heat, but aren't you guys underestimating them a bit?? I say they win by a LOT, by like 15. Remember the cavs had the best record in the league last year and who did they have? Just lebron. Now add Wade and chemistry aside, you've got an amazing team... I think their downfall will be in the playoffs, when dwight howard goes off on them for like 50 points/50 reb because they have NO big men. Now, however, they should be fine against the C's, they don't scare teams much anymore. In a 7 game series, the celtics can beat anybody, but they just don't seem to care about the regular season too much anymore.

No way! The Celtics are healthy and have the best team since the Big 3 came together. KG is revitalized and back to his old self. Even if the Heat win, it will be close.

The Heat are clearly affected by not playing together enough yet. Holy cow they look terrible. The C's are dominating.

If Wade gets hurt LeBron is on a worse team than he was last year. Bahahahaa.

Hahahaha so true. However, LeBron single-handily brought the Heat back to within 3 points towards the end of the game. Man, LeBron is good. He's the best player in the NBA.

It's going to be interesting to see the Heat this year. They are gonna need LeBron to dominate the ball. He was basically their PG tonight. Wade and Bosh's stats will go down, but its going to be the same for LeBron this year as it has always been.

Celtics v. Heat: A great way to start the season – no doubt. Watching this game you expect some very good basketball out of both of these teams in the playoffs. Let’s start with the Celtics because they won and because they have the most awesomest duo in the world on their team…Nate Rob-G. Davis.

As a team the Celtics look like they are playing the first game of the season. The team had that KG, first game of the playoffs feel to them, you know the one – when KG shoots everything over the backboard, sets moving screens, dribbles off his foot – that feel. Somehow they managed to build a big lead through their defense. As expected, KG, Shaq, and Baby completely neutralized and intimidated RuBosh (more on him later). KG, after calming down in the second half, looked great. He is spry (for an old man) and just angry on defense. If Rambis has ANY clue what he’s doing he’ll have Love and the Euronators (Our WTP-->http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KZjzMEIWdZU) watch KG’s rotations to learn how appear as if you’re covering more ground. I’d bet on 15 and 9 from KGeezy.
Rondo still can’t shoot…oh well! He’s awesome. Great facilitator. Looks great. Ray is still Ray…Pierce is still a whiner. Shaq is fit. J.O is fat. Baby is phat. Nate Rob can bench more than Anyone else. That is all…

The Heat are going to be fun to watch…when Riley replaces Spoelstra. Nice offense buddy…Déjà vu of Cleveland. Wade is trying to get his game right, it’ll take a few games. Still, there was no reason not to have Bosh more involved. He’s a ‘superstar’ right? Dumb. Anyway, their defense just won’t ever be great because of Bosh and ____(big by committee). Bosh is on an island…they should cut Joel Anthony and sign Ericka Dampier. Or not…If James would ever man up and learn how to play in the post they’d be straight. Can you imagine RuBosh, James, Miller, Wade, and Chalmers/House? KG can’t guard Lebron. Brandon Bass/Ryan Anderson/Lewis can’t guard Lebron. Pau and Odom can’t guard Lebron. But Lebron COULD guard them. He just needs to be taught to defend post players. He IS strong enough, for sure.
Alternately, throw out Haslem, Bosh, Miller, Wade, and Lebriggity and have Wade/James run point. The point is, with these two lineups they are making other teams match up with them instead of trying to worry about matching up with other teams…It’s a paradigm shift that could pay dividends come playoffs…

Haslem is still better than RuBosh (not really). I still have no clue who James Jones is. Eddie House still got slapped so hard by Rafer his headband turned around. Big Z is done. It would be more effective to play Arroyo at Center.

All in all, good game. The Celtics have lots to work on. The Heat have lots to work on. Both teams had better prepare for an a$$ whooping by the Wolves. They can’t match our WTP inside…

Euronators is catching on!

Nice game and roster breakdowns by The Daddy. I had to work last night and didn't get to watch and I'm the only person in the country who doesn't have DVR. Howl to you for keeping me up to date (and for using Euronators!). It's going to be real fun to follow both of these teams this year, but the Wolves will crush them both.
