No that is not my arguement...my point in this is to counter your point of saying it is wrong for me to judge KG before his first season in Boston has been completed.

Paul Pierce is the real MVP of that team anyways...not KG...

Ummmmm... ok.

All right that might have been going a bit far...

Kevin Garnett: ...last time I checked winning games was more valuable than individual statistics...

I find this very interesting...Kind of sums up what I have been saying about KG...

KG does both of them. Anyhow, you are taking that quote out of context...

I said that in reference to how he ranks in MVP voting for this season. That quote doesn't pertain to his career legacy.

Plus, he wins games AND puts up stats. He just hasn't had enough help to win the title. We've been over this ad nauseam...
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

Nice to hear from you...

And don't be generous, Webber's career has been far better than KG's.:P

I thought this was interesting...

During the 1997-98 NBA season, the Timberwolves and Garnett agreed on a six-year contract extension that was worth an unparalleled $126 million.[3] This was met with shock around the NBA, and the Timberwolves were used as scapegoats for the lockout that occurred the next season. The contract was a risky move and many pundits speculated that the deal would make it impossible for the Wolves to sign new players or even keep their own...

Source: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kevin_garnett

I guess KG did revolutionize the game...handcuffing his team so they could not make any real significant moves...

Also, I find it funny that the Celtics are 5-2 when KG is out of the lineup (Which the beat the Spurs yesterday...) and the Cavs are 0-6 without LeBron in the line-up...who is the real MVP...not KG that is for sure

Sigh.

That contract was signed directly before the CBA was changed, hence the reason it affected our salary cap situation so drastically. Again, not KG's fault.

Have you seen the Cavs roster? They blow. I know they made it to the Finals blah blah blah but it was in the weak East and Lebron gets every call under the sun from the refs. Last time I checked the Celtics still have two potential Hall of Famers in their lineup other than KG... the Cavs have nothing close, hence the reason they were 0-6 compared to 5-2 for the Celtics.

That is a new excuse...I must give you props for that...

So...to some up your point...KG should get at least to the finals this year because they are in the crappy East AND the fact that he along with a future Hall of Famer (I am not sure who...I suppose Ray Allen) are on his roster...and if the Celtics don't what excuses are you going to give them...that they don't get the same calls as Lebron???

And yes I have seen the Cavs roster, which makes my point about KG even stronger...No matter what conference you are in, if you have a team like the Cavs and make it to the NBA finals, that my friend is very impressive...Sure they got swept, but LeBron has done more in his short career than KG has in his long career...LeBron is a beast...he is one of just a very few who can truly take a team on his back and carry them to pay dirt...KG unfortunatly is not on that short list...

All I am asking is that the Celtics make the Eastern Conference finals...which I don't think they will...

This is retarded. I can't believe how much time I've wasted arguing whether or not KG's career is a \"bust.\" I feel stupid for even responding so much.

In my opinion, KG could lose every single game his team(s) played for the rest of his career... and he's still a first ballot Hall of Famer and one of the greatest players ever. If that constitutes being a \"bust\", well then 99.5% of all the players that have ever played in the history of the league were definitely \"busts.\"

Come on man...

You have a better arguement than that...

Fine...maybe bust is a bit much and for that I apologize...let's reword it than...KG is one of the biggest underachiever in the NBA...

Brining a different perspective on KG is not tearing down him...I have not once been mean spirited towards KG...just pointing out things that is all...nothing mean spirited though
