This week's edition is being hosted Hornets 24/7.com. I will post a link when he updates the rankings.

For now, here are my comments and votes for this week:

MVP (1st = 10, 2nd = 9... and so on.)

10 – Lebron James: On top of his all-around awesomeness, he is incredibly consistent. He’s scored at least 20 points in the last 48 consecutive games. Kobe just wishes he could say the same thing.

9 – Kobe Bryant: He’s great, but the MVP award is NOT a lifetime achievement award. Stop the lunacy.

8 – Kevin Garnett: I think his impact on the court is vastly underestimated. He’s the leader of the team and the catalyst of their #1 ranked defense. They’ve still got the top overall record in the league, and recently completed the “Texas Triangle” sweep… the first team to do so since 2001, I believe.

7 – Chris Paul: It’s too bad the MVP field is so crowded with deserving candidates this year, because he’d be a lock in many other past seasons. There’s nothing bad that can be said about him, it’s just unfortunate that he most likely won’t end up with the respect he deserves.

6 – Dwight Howard: Leads the league in rebounding and my boy Big Al Jefferson in double-doubles by a rather wide margin. How is he only 22 years old? I’m scared how good he could eventually become.

5 – Tim Duncan: I thought he was past his prime last season. I was wrong.

4 – Baron Davis: Almost single handily keeping Golden State in the playoff race. Where. Is. The. Love???

3 – Steve Nash: I don’t think I’ve voted for him in my Top 10 all season long because I’ve always felt he’s overrated. Well, he’s leading the league in assists and the Suns have reeled off 7 straight wins while integrating Shaq Diesel into the team quite nicely.

2 – Carlos Boozer/Deron Williams: How do you reward one of these guys but not the other? Both are integral to the success of the Jazz… and succeed they have.

1 – Chris “Caveman” Kaman: He’s still tied for 9th in double-doubles and third in the league in rebounding, despite missing quite a few games to injury. You can’t stop him… you can only hope to contain him.

ROY (1st = 5, 2nd = 4... and so on)

5 - Al Horford: He got ripped off last week when I hosted the rankings, it’s only fair to avenge his second place finish.

4 – Kevin Durant: He’s still pretty darn good.

3 – Al Thorton:
Could easily be known as the best player in this draft 5 years from now. The thing that kills him is the “all-too-occasional” 2 for 15 shooting games.

2 – Luis Scola: He gets the nod since Landry has been out with injury for a few games since the last edition. Still, teams shouldn’t be overlooking either player.

1 – “Yo-Keem” Noah: I don’t care what anyone says, he’s a stud.
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."
