They mention Al Jefferson in the intro paragraphs... but not a single person even gave him ONE vote!?!?!

Durant 6? Oden 7? Michael Beasley 11th???? Noah, Thad Young, Derrick Rose, and Josh Smith all got a vote but Al didn't even get one? What???

Ridiculous.
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

I saw that today too. I had to go confirm that he was 23. I couldn't think of any other reason he didn't get a vote.

I'm still flummoxed by this. Not ONE vote??? I knew he was only 23 because they mentioned it during a game on his birthday this year. Wow. :(

That one you just have to chalk up to either oversight or pure stupidity. There's no other explanation.

I'm guessing part of the issue is the voting system. It was 1-5 and a wild card. I think the wild card was supposed to be a guy who was nowhere near being in the top 5 but could randomly turn out good. Most of those young guys got WC votes. I'd say Jefferson is too established to be in the running for that.

That said it is still rediculas that ANYONE would vote for a few of these guys instead of Jefferson.
Deron Williams: 10 points (1 third-place vote, 3 fourth-place, 1 fifth-place, plus 1 WC vote)
Carmelo Anthony: 10 points (1 third-place vote, 3 fourth place, 1 fifth place)
Kevin Durant: 8 points (3 fourth-place votes, 2 fifth-place votes, plus 3 WC votes)
Greg Oden: 3 points (3 fifth-place votes, plus 2 WC votes)
Andrew Bynum: 3 points (1 fourth-place vote, 1 fifth-place, plus 1 WC vote)
Brandon Roy: 3 points (1 fourth-place vote, 1 fifth-place vote)
Monta Ellis: 2 points (2 fifth-place votes)
Michael Beasley: 2 points (1 fourth-place vote)
Luol Deng: 1 point (1 fifth-place vote)

If we applied the logic of which of these guys would we trade Al for in a 1 for 1 deal not factoring in contacts I don't think any of the trades work for the wolves.

Depending on my current mood any given day... I'd *maybe* trade Al for 3 or 4 of those guys in a 1 for 1 deal. Regardless of the voting system, it was still ridiculous.

It's because Al looks like he's 43 and nobody at ESPN is the wiser.

If Al looks like he's 43, then LeBron must be 64 and Oden 127.

Another proof that the ESPN-writers weren't first in line when God dealt out brains..
