Durants 20 ppg are far above anyone else, but he has been given alpha dog status on his team, while all other rookies have been placed as 3rd or 4th cogs, or lower.
Horford has been a solid player for a Hawks team that is making the playoffs for the 1st time in a long time. However, he scores 10 ppg, which is nice, but may be a stretch for a R.O.Y.
Scola should be in the conversation as well I believe. In the 35 games he has started, he has averaged 12.5 ppg & 7.4 rpg with a 53% fg%. He also has obviously been one of the key cogs to Houston's shocking post-Yao Ming run as one of the top WC teams.
It's a tough call....
Don't sell short the fact that he averages almost a double-double per game! I think his rebounds are at like 9.8 per game, or something incredible like that.
Horford...no doubt about it...He is a good poised rookie...plays like he has been in the league for a few years...plus integral part of bringing the Hawks to the playoffs...
Not to bring up something from another topic and over hyping and raving fans causing people to dislike a player aka Kobe...if this could be true it would be of Durant...He was Mr. Hype...has his stupid commercial where he is taking off his jerseys and finally gets to the NBA...He throws up bricks and takes silly shots...Durant is not even the best rookie on that team in my opinion...Green has a better all around game at this point...Durant is a ball hog who shoots like mello...everytime he gets the ball...
Scola has been steady all season and would be second in my book behind Horford
