Still hurts your body no matter what you smoke. Even if an athlete was spoking cigarettes it hurts their body. If I was the owner of an NBA franchise and paying a player to play, it would piss me off to find out they were smoking anything. Why do you think smokers pay more in insurance? It is not just the cancer factors, it increases your risk of other health problems. Not saying that he should be banned from the league but if I was the owner, I would suspend him. But, like I implied, I would probably suspend a player if he smoked cigarettes. I don't care who the player is, hurting their lungs will slow them down.

That would really really suck if J. Reed ends up never playing in the NBA again as an indirect result of getting caught with bud (was on the fringe of making the team, gets caught with bud-they decide he's not worth it & cut him, he doesn't latch on with anyone else, he never plays in the league again.....man that would eat).

I guess after re-reading the article yet again, it isn't clear if the Rockets cut him or not. My bad, sorry for jumping the gun. However, I wouldn't be surprised if they do cut him. I hope he stays though, so we get to at least see him again twice this season...
