Since becoming the MVP somehow always seems to require playing for a winning team, I think that Kobe won't have much of chance either, no matter what he does (because the Lakers -barring a big change- will barely sneak into the playoffs). For the same reason, even a healthy D-Wade won't have much of a chance. Nash already won it twice and Dirk will not win it in the next five years, considering how the last playoffs went. Timmy D is too much of a team player with Manu and Parker around (similar to KG in Boston), sooooo...
...well, I guess I have now ruled out every candidate besides LeBron, so I fear through the process of elimination, I would choose him as my early MVP candidate.
My dark horse by the way is Agent Zero. He was highly disappointed by how the last season ended for the Wizards, will be playing for a new contract and is still pissed that he did not make Team USA. I would not want to be the poor guy having to guard him this year, because he will surely be dropping 30 on me every given night.
I didn't think of Arenas. Just because I don't think that the Wizards will be any higher than the 8th seed this season. If they are, he could be a strong candidate. Good point btw.
