Nice for the Blazers. Camby is, apparently, less than thrilled.

But the Clippers......oh dear. You'd have thought they had a little more leverage than to bring in Blake and Outlaw.

Sounds like Camby likes to be settled in a location and he likes LA. One would guess he has kids in school and isn't going to move them. That means he is gone from them from them for 5 months. Life takes precedence over playoff basketball for some guys.

Oh, and the Clippers got $3 Million in cash in the trade (the max amount you can trade to a team.)

I bet Sterling told Dumbleavy that if he wanted to have (and keep) the GM job, he has to cut payroll and save Sterling money. That's the only way this trade makes any sense at all.

Unless the Clippers are throwing in the towel and cashing in on Camby while they still can. They get a servicable PG backup (word is Telfair might be traded) and a youngster that may or may not stay long term. All in all, DeAndre Jordan gets the starting nod, so it might work out long-term.

Remember they got Camby for free. A 2nd round pick I believe. Turning a 2nd round pick eventually into 3 million and a test ride of Travis Outlaw is no bad feat.

It's not a bad trade because of what they got Camby for from Denver, it's a bad trade because of how little they got in return. There are lots of other teams that could have used him. And he's an expiring contract...
