I disagree. Didn't the Mavs win 66 games that year? I mean think about that. That's more than any teams win in most years. And this years Hawks - they are about the 6th-12th best team in the league. IMO the Warriors over the Mavs is a MUCH bigger upset.

Yea they won 67 I think. But still, the Warriors SWEPT the Mavs during the regular season and had owned them for a couple of years. Dirk won the MVP, but probably because he's white and Euro over anything else. This was at the height of the "Dirk is the biggest choker in the NBA" sentiment, which he then proceeded to choke against the Warriors.

I don't really consider that a huge upset. The only reason most people do I'd say is because it was a 1 seed vs. an 8 seed. If you don't look at the seeds it was not an upset at all.

And just one more reason why the NBA needs to adopt the D-League rule where the top seeds get to choose what bottom seed they want to go against in the 1st round of the playoffs. Such an awesome (& more fair) rule!

I already checked again and still thought that's what I had picked, and had typed out my response, then I checked AGAIN and realized I was reading it all wrong. My bad, thanks for callin me out. Damn, it's gonna be almost impossible to catch you since we have the same finals matchup...

Once again, either I can't read, or it's not showing what series lengths you predicted for this round... I had picked LA in 7, Dallas in 5 (egads), Cavs in 6, Magic in 5.
