Doc Rivers decides not to return to the Celtics next season, many believe that Kevin McHale may coach the team.

A number of NBA coaching sources told ESPN.com's Marc Stein that McHale would receive strong consideration for the job should Rivers walk away.

McHale's name has also been linked to the Bulls.

The Celtics should be the only team even considering hiring McFail as coach, and only then because it would be such an easy sell to their fanbase.

If that happens, this is Garnett's last year, for sure (considering how bad he looks, maybe he should hang em up).

This is just another classic example of Corporate decision makers' (in this case Celtics ownership and Ainge) complete and utter lack of creativity. apparently it's easy to just hire McHale than to go out on a limb with your defensive coordinator who is doing an awesome job or some other up and comer. This is what fuels complacency and subsequently failure in organizations. McHale may end up being an awesome coach, that's not the point. Uggg, nevermind, I give up.

Maybe if that happens and Ray goes to Chicago to join LeBron, then KG can force a trade back to Minnesota. I would love to see him retire a Wolf.

Yep, you guys all nailed this one. I can't imagine McFale coaching anywhere but the Celtics. And honestly, if he did, I'd feel bad for their fanbase. Not because McFale is a terrible coach, but for the reasons Daddy stated. You are telling me they can't or won't get a better coach for that veteran team? Ugh.

Please have KG retire a wolf. His salary sucks, but if we could somehow off-balance that in a trade...

Big Al + Filler for KG + ??? Not sure what else they could really give us since I doubt they'd ever include Rondo or Perkins in a trade like that.
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

That would be crazy trading Al back to the Celtics in return we get KG back to the Wolves. Pretty much it would be a 3 year loan for both of the teams in favor of the Celtics.
