Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

that is sad. However, I doubt it's true. Everyone on the court would notice and say something. His team/coaches would smell it in the huddle and he wouldn't have been playing.

Same thing I was inquiring about with Bonk. How is it possible to go to practice/games drunk? There is no way people wouldn't notice his actions or the booze on his breath.

So it remains to be said, why would he lie about doing this? All it does is cast unfavorable light upon him... makes no sense to me.

It is entirely possible. People who have developed higher tolerance to alcohol can consume large quantities without slurring or staggering. If you drink it far enough before the game and shower up slam a cup of coffee and use mouthwash, you can hide the smell. This is all done deliberatly.

The reason he has admitted all this publicly is beacuse the way to recover from alcoholism is to admit everything to everyone. The way of AA is to publicly admit your illness and powerlessness against it and seek out everyone who you have hurt and look for restitution. There is no middle ground in alcoholism, it is all or nothing. Even then there is no guarantee you will be able to stay sober. You will always be an alcolohic. I you stop drinking you are a recovering alcoholic, not cured.

Good points... that does make sense.

I remember when he first hit the bigs with the Nugs he had an awesome jumper.. He said he use to drink booze at halftime go figure, i hope he can stay clean n sober. His main problem in the nba was his love for weed tho, thats why his career tanked, when he was arrested for posession of pot..

Surprisingly, I had only been tipped up at 2 or 3 home games this year, while I attended between 10-20 under the influence last year. Weird. Some of it has to do with me being another year older. Some of it has to do with my partner in crime, CW, being another year older. But still, CW, we should probably step it up before its April and we are wondering why we didn't party more for this subpar season.

note - now that I think about it at this point last year we probably weren't too far ahead of this pace...we got tipsy for a loooot of games in feb-april last year, when the team was going down the crapper. We figure the worse the game, the more likely we will want to get tipsy for it.
