Sources: Vince Carter dealt to Suns

Wow, crazy. Vince Carter, Gortat, Pietrus, and 2011 1st round pick for TurkeyGlu, Jason Richardson, and Earl Clark.

This helps Orlando a lot. I think Hedo will play well again in that offense. And Richardson is better than Vince Carter.
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

Holy Shit! That's crazy. Why would Phoenix deal Richardson I wonder?

Oh, of course, to get rid of Hedo's contract. The Suns are a whole new level of incompetent.

And Orlando trades Lewis for Arenas! Wow they blew it up and now have very few bigs...this doesn't happen too often.

Gortat was basically a backup shortshop to Cal Ripken or backup QB to Favre (before this year). You don't really need one and you sure don't need to be paying one a lot of money.

This trade is pretty great for Orlando. They end up with the 2 best players in the deal and most people don't realize how worthless Rashard Lewis has become so Hedo should help out as well.

Suns...what is there to say...once again they have to give up assets to make up for a previous mistake

Richardson is an expiring contract, but yeah, they basically gave him away to dump Hedo. Sucks for them. Richardson has been a stud this year.

And they got Arenas???? WHAT!?!?!

Steve Nash has saved that franchise. Because of Nash/winning games the past 5 seasons or whatever, people tend to overlook how poorly the organization has been run. They won games, but it's still one of the most poorly run organizations in the NBA. Robert Sarver is a TERRIBLE OWNER.

Hard to really evaluate this one. I can see how both teams improve basketball-wise but why in the hell would Phoenix trade J Rich after his fantastic start??!!! Even considering Turkoglu's deal/irreparable profound retardation. And even Orlando wasn't half bad, they just went through a rough patch. This whole thing seems straight out of a video game.

Overall Orlando exponentially improves their offense....they will be fun to watch...who plays the PF position other than Bass?

JRich is an expiring contract, so I assume they weren't planning on resigning him? Maybe they know they aren't good enough to do anything in the playoffs?

That white dude that shoots a ton of 3's. Can't remember his name offhand. They got him in the deal with Vince Carter from the Nyets though.

I swear to the heavens I responded to this thread right after CW made it. Where in the F word is my damn response!!!?!?!?!?

I don't remember what I said. I'm hungover. Can't think.
Orlando = win. retooled to beat Miami.
Suns = win.
Sleeve of Wizard = who cares. Worse than the Wolves. They almost beat Miami but chocked ten times worse than the Wolves do in the clutch.

Daddy - I think its because of the decision to make a thread each for the two trades.

Hahaha yeah, there are two threads. I didn't know they made two trades when I posted the first one.

Bass, Ryan Anderson (that white dude who shoots 3's and is pretty much as good as or better than Lewis), and Turkeyglue will all play PF. They really need to make a trade for a backup bigman that plays both positions because Bass and Orton are the only guys on their roster who can play center besides Howard.
