What do you think are the craziest/most interesting stats of this NBA season?

THIS:
Free agent Corey Brewer is expected to talk to the Mavs, Spurs and Celtics Tuesday, a source tells Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Knicks don't want Brewer's elite defending, but the best teams in the league certainly do. Brewer will be a reserve no matter where he lands, so the fantasy upside will be limited. But he certainly could have a real impact on the NBA playoffs.

Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

How about how awful the NBA refs are?

5 techs in 10 seconds is a disgrace to the game. The NBA has its head in the sand about how awful their officiating is.

They are the worst officials in any major sport and are almost certainly worse than all but the most home-grown high school referees. I watch NCAA basketball just to watch a fair game once in a while.

NBA officiating = F--

As bad as the NBA officiating is the NCAA puts it to shame. Come tourney time it will be clear as day. The bigger the stage the worse it is. NCAA guys live to take the most exciting player out of the game in the first 5 minutes with 2 terrible charging calls.

Here's my crazy stat of the season: The Houston Rockets are 31-31 while thie Minnesota Timberwolves are 14-47.

Look at the rosters. They start CHUCK HAYES at center. That's the difference between a winning culture/GM/coach and a losing culture/GM/coach.

Combine those things with a Shooting Guard who can make shots and you have a real team.

Chuck Hayes is good. He's my kind of banger.

Hater.

My point wasn't to rip Chuck Hayes. I like him too. My point was that Houston has a 50% winning percentage, while ours is below 25% and our rosters are VERY comparable.

Chuck Hayes is quite possibly the most underrated player in the league today. While he's no Ben Wallace in his prime, the difference isn't, say Wayne Ellington to Kobe. Or Kevin Love Darko to Hakeem.

I'd have to say Kevin Love's 47 consecutive double-doubles...

We're getting there. As a 22 year old, to provide that much consistency is impressive. But still, it's a somewhat arbitrary number- 10 of this, 10 of that. I appreciate how he plays the game and his consistency and tenacity more so than his numbers.

That said, you do get to a point where he's doing something no one has done in 30 years and you have to appreciate it a bit. Especially now that some other guys are engaged in going after rebounds, and he is still racking them up.

Yep. It isn't like he is just pulling through a pack. There is only 2-3 runs that can even sniff this one that he is on.
