Lots of questioning of the size of the fine. Seems like 100k is the current "hey everybody take a look at this... if you do what this guy did you will pay money" fine amount. Mark Cuban has certainly paid more for less.
I also don't buy the "this is how it is on the playground so don't be hypocritical" argument. Kobe wasn't on the playground. If you make David Stern apologize about the leagues image. You will pay.
If anyone makes their boss apologize publicly the consequences will be severe.
