But to expect out of him what we could have expected out of a #4 pick on the wing is insane at this point, he's just not that good. Shouldn't be starting but he does certain things well enough to earn some minutes if he stops doing other things badly. If we had a competent alternative he would be playing 10-15 minutes per game and that would be fine.

See I would argue that Wes' laziness is "worse". To me, Wes has gotten chance after chance this year, and basically failed every time. When Beas... ahhh I don't have time to get into all of this right now. Hopefully later. I think it is an interesting discussion. I can't believe I was about to type multiple paragraphs defending Mike Beasley of all people... maybe later in the day.

Yeah I'll be interested in hearing your take. For what it's worth, I am not necessarily endorsing Wes, just saying that I can see how Wes's bad habits are less annoying to a coach than Beasley's bad habits. Little things like body language, eye contact with the coach, that sort of thing. Which is why it's not so surprising that Pekovic got so much more burn this year than Darko. Darko's body language is atrocious.

Wolfenstein: That fits into my ignorant vs. stupid analogy. So, if Wes is trying, but having difficulty learning, it's okay - makes him neither stupid nor lazy. I'll take anyone who expresses a desire to learn so they can improve. I'm just not sure what to think about Beasley. I liked him alot last year - he appeared to have the makings of a very solid player, maybe even a "star", for many years to come. I know his minutes are down almost a 1/3 this season. Guess I don't understand why Adelman is not giving him more time. Seems apparent that coming off the bench is something he is having trouble dealing with.
