I agree. It's too bad this happened to a great chap like YAO. I really like YAO. Houston, it's team, and the fans all deserve better. Sucks too we can't trade them Smith now. Bummer all around.

Sad news. I was thinking when posting in \"odd team out in the West\" that anything that could stop the Rockets would be an injury to Yao...didn't I also write that??

Anyways, injuries are part of the game, but I always hate it when they are not only affecting, but deciding if a whole season is a success or goes down the drain. With the record they have, they probably won't even get a decent pick, I guess.

Strange that it always seem to happen to the Rockets...how many games have T-Mac and Yao played together since Houston tried to put on the floor what seemed to many as a surefire championship 1-2 punch with those two? Can't be even half a season in total. I usually don't believe in hexes or anything, but if I had to decide, I would blow the whole team up. It's true they never got the chance to see what those two can do together on a consistant basis and while it looked real good recently...I just don't believe, for whateve reason, that this would ever become a reality with that team.

Very sad for the sport and the league.
