Ha. And it didn't even take 6 games!

You also had the Spurs over Thunder, and cHeat over the Celtics in like 5 so....If you predict every event you're bound to be right sometimes (like guessing the murderer in the Killing).

If the cHeat had Bosh, they would have beat the Celtics in less than 7 games. Even then, I still picked the Heat. Not sure what the issue is there.
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

Oh that reminds me...

You lost our playoff prediction game, Nostradamus. You owe me some money.

If "If's" were a fifth we'd all be drunk. If Bosh, Ray Allen, Pierce, Wade, and if Bradley were healthy, who knows. But healthy Bosh is not more influential that that trio in healthy form Mr. College Wolf. Know that.

Not sure about this dynasty talk yet.

Wade, although presumably healthy next year, isn't getting better. Lebron and Bosh will get better, but probably just small steps, no? How much better can Lebron get? Other than firming up his handshake and working on his smile, he's got that jumpshot thing to work on I guess.

OKC on the other hand, has tons to improve upon. My roommate told me before the series that my OKC in 7 prediction was the absolute best case scenario for the Thunda because of their lack of experience. He was right. Clearly Harden and Ibaka will improve and handle the pressure better next year. To be so young and having never been there before, I thought Westbrook and Durant performed about how I thought they would.

So, the four stars on OKC all have considerable progress to make in the coming years. Plus, that was the most horrendously coached finals from Brooks ever. I don't know if he's a bad coach or just has to learn. Only the org knows that. His defensive schemes were so poorly executed I was pulling my hair out. Offensively he had no control over that team. SO...not quite sure the dynasty is set in stone for Miami. But I get where it might be. Plus the Bobcats got new jerseys, so there's that.

Derek Fisher has gone from one of my least favorite players to one of my favorite for his awesome charge/block on Lebron. That's how I'm going to teach my players to take charges from now on.

Good post.

The Heat can improve by upgrading the rest of their terribly-built, patchwork roster. Battier is in. Haslem is in. Chalmers is sort of in....but everyone else can be slowly phased out. I wouldn't rule out something ridiculous like Steve Nash signing with the Heat this offseason if he passes up Kahn's 3-year $30 million + Derrick Williams sign and trade offer.

The Thunder's core rotation is basically established. We will see a changing in the guard at Center before long, but that team is what it is for the foreseeable future. It will be chemistry improvements and experience, but that roster may well be maxed out in terns of talent added. The Heat - not as much.

PS - Remember when OKC traded for Tyson Chandler and he failed his physical? That might be one of their FO's only missteps. Had that gone through..well...I can't even imagine. No point in the Wolves even trying if that had happened.

Ahh! good points. I guess the cHeat may have more room outside of their core to build. You also forgot about the intangible leadership skills that Lazar brings to OKC. Kahn knows how to pick em.

If they had Tyson Chandler right now Ibaka would be so expendable. Imagine if they were able to get a nice low post scorer for him, like David West or something. Paired with Chandler? gross for the rest of the league.

You gotta wonder why the Thunder aren't a late-season buyout destination yet. They got Fisher who was awful to start. It still seems to be the Heat, Lakers, Celtics who claim the buyout guys.

I could see Nash or Ray Allen signing in Miami. Ray Allen to the Wolves talk should die either way. It just will not happen nor is it probably a good idea to pursue despite him being a good player still.

I forgot about that. That was awesome. Probably the worst flagrant call I have ever seen.

I'll take a fifth of Hornitos Reposado, por favor.

I try MP. about all DFS is good for.

Bonk, I damn near gave up on the NBA after that call. This happened with Jordan, it happened with Kobe, it happened to Wade, and is now happening with Lebron. Shaq, Duncan, KG, Barkley, etc. didn't get that same treatment. Only perimeter slashers get this absurd treatment.

Disagree, DFS, I always enjoy - and learn - from your generally insightful analyses and comments.
