KGIZZLE! My man is hooping dudes lately. I hope they play the cHeat in the first round when he's fresh so he can eat Bosh's ass up. Even if they get swept, he'll embarrass Boshina.

Not sure about the Rondo thing. I wrote not too long ago that I lost interest in Rondo as a PG. I think it is possible he'll mature and become the best in the league. As it stands, this year turned into Rondo dribbling until he found a player get open for a catch and shoot situation. It was an unhealthy offense that inflated his stats. He also has pretty much quit playing defense for much of the game. I'm telling you. Seriously. He gets killed on the PnR and KG knows 1 speed - HAM. So KG is aggressively challenging Rondo's man at the 3pt line (clearly outmatched out there but he never cares) while Rondo was busy cutting to the hoop to try to get a rebound.

Such a weird player. Their defense will be better. Their regular season record will improve, although it's the Celtics, they were going to start trying the second half anyway. Other players will be more involved and will play better, as they have been. They have a great defensive unit. They can't, however, turn it up in the playoffs. Rondo could.

So there...Maybe they'll climb the ranks and end up 5th seed. But they can't win more than a round (if that) without him.

I been on the league his past week, watching some games. I have a plethora of thoughts on the league.

WOW. Classic 3 OT thrilla in Boston tonight. Denver was HAM. Boston was HAM. McGee was the best defensive player in the world for about 6 minutes which is the only reason the game wasn't won in regulation by the Celtics. He gobbled up KG, Bradley, Lee, and Green all at once. Anyway...

Denver - Watched em for the second time this week, this time against Boston. This team is tough like Memphis. They have less interior scoring and much more shooting, however. I would love to see that matchup in the playoffs. I can't see a team like San Antonio messing with this team over 7 games. Why haven't they offered McGee and Gallinari for Dirk yet? Or Faried, Wilson Chandler, and some picks. I don't know, but dirk is perfect with this group. Or trade Wilson Chandler for Derrick Williams. Derrick Williams = Dirk.

Boston - Yea...hate to reiterate what I said before. This team is, like Memphis and Denver, hounding teams on D and moving the ball on O. They are going to pester somebody in the playoffs. They can probably still beat teams like the Knicks and Indy if KG holds up. It would be best for the league if they met Miami in the second round. Bradley and Lee would tire Wade out. Miami would be fatigued heading into the conference finals.

Chicago - If Rose can get to 80% of himself by the time the second round of the playoffs hit...look out Miami. Not saying they can beat Miami...but ya'll in trouble.

Indy - Oh hi more injuries. Jesus these injuries suck. I don't know what will happen when Granger comes back. He should become the sixth man. They can beat everyone in the East other than Miami.

Knicks - Bleh. < Boston < Indy/Chicago < Miami.

Brooklyn. - Meh. Who cares. Joe Johnson, Deron Williams, and Roundhouse can go have an overpaid role player party together (Roundhouse LOVES Brooklyn more than Daddy loves tha 'gina in his face..Or that's an exaggeration. Whatever).

Milwaukee - What is this team? Trade Illyasova for Derrick Williams already.

West

Spurs - trash. Refuse to talk about them. Good luck losing in the first round.

Warriors - Falling... This makes me sad. Quick, trade Derrick Williams for that guy whose name sounds like Festival to turn their fortunes around. "But he's terrible, why would the Wolves do that?" Sorry, just being realistic.

Houston - Fuck them. they are only a few pieces away, already. Damn them. Wouldn't an OKC/Houston 1/8 be cool?

OKC - Their bench sucks to me.

Clippers - Slippin, falling, hopefully they don't get up. They should do a consolidation trade for their bench. maybe trade Bledsoe for someone awesome. Who would win if you put Bledsoe and Ty Lawson in a cage match? Then added Avery Bradley?

Memphis - Prince is revitalized!!! Good for him. Hope they face the Spurs in the playoffs.

Utah - They should try to trade one of their bigs or some combo for Bledsoe. yes.

A man shouldn't be built like Bledsoe, Lawson, Nate Rob, Boykins, or Barea.

Or Sagana Diop

But the Nets will make it further in the playoffs than the Celtics even if they had Rondo :silly: I just like the way Prokhorov runs that team. He doesn't give a fyck about cap space. None of the good teams do while all of the bad teams care way too much about cap space. Nets are going hard after Josh Smith now. No idea what they have to trade, but I wouldn't doubt they get him somehow. That team + J. Smith = 2nd best team in the East and legit title contender.

You are chiefin something fierce. That team is giant horse shit. Way to get blown out by the Spurs last night.

Crash = a highly paid Thabo Sefolosha.
Deron Williams < Greivis Vasquez
Joe Johnson < Danny Green :woohoo: (fine, that's an exaggeration)

Brooke (if you put the "e" on the end, I think it's a woman's name) Lopez is the best player. He does work.

They need to trade Marshon Brooks for Derrick Wililams, who needs Josh Smith? Also, if they trade for Josh Smith, it's most definitely going to include some of their good pieces.

Damn I love NBA breakdowns like the one Daddy just provided...

I am with you on Chicago. I keep saying to people that once Rose is back they are a Top 5 team. After Miami, I see them as the biggest threat in the East.

Miami is the top team in the league easily. I don't think this is even debateable.

I don't even really understand why, but I am rooting for the Clippers to come out of the West. They are so fun to watch & seem to truly enjoy each other as a team. But Lamar Odom is still a bytch.

Tony Parker continues to fly under the top tier radar.

Paul Pierce is once again flying under the All-Star radar.

Steph Curry not making the All-Star team was the biggest slight in the last 5 years.

The Nets suck. Gerald Wallace can't defend like he once could. Yet somehow Shawn Marion is still an amazing defender, even though he is older and they are kind of the same player.

I could see both Dallas & the Lakers getting into the playoffs. I'm definitely not sold on Utah as a playoff team, and Houston could take a dive too.

KG post-game interview after creaming the Lakers Thursday... no words. You already know. Love that man.

Ha. RH, you can't disagree with Bonk. It's blasphemy. So we all agree the Nyets suck.

Blah, blah, Miami can't rebound, blah, blah. When they sweep the Hawks in the first round and then out whoever in 5 in the second, we'll all forget this moment when we pretended Miami was beatable.

That said...All it takes is a nagging injury to Lebron or Bosh to allow Chicago (healthy Chicago that we have yet to see) to take them out.

That's why I'm hoping a second round series against Indy or Boston will hurt them physically for Chicago or New York.

Two irrelevant trades for a bunch of players that are all almost the same.

Thomas Robinson for Pat Patterson, Toney Douglas, and Cole Aldrich.

The Rockets then reunite the Morris brothers in Phoenix and receive a Wesley Johnson (that's what I call 2nd rd picks)

Good trades for the Rockets I guess. They traded a bunch of young guys who suck for a young guy who potentially doesn't suck.

I promise this is the last time I link to something making fun of Bosh for awhile. I really do worry about his long-term wellbeing considering the black comedy circuit has taken to referring to him as "Juwanna Mann."

See here for all star hilarity. The link should work now.

Aloha, DFS! I tried that link about Bosh, but it didn't connect. Can you repost it?

Gutsy win for my Lakers last night. Do you think Kobe's challenge/prediction will carry them to the 8th spot? That was a challenge, BTW, just like the one he threw at Howard.

Howard needs to quit whining like a little 9-YO girl and just play. His propensity for getting his feelings hurt and pouting has gotten waaaay old!

Clippers are playing exactly like they should play every game against Utah tonight. LAC up by 19 with about 8-1/2 to play. Last I checked, DAJ only had 4 pts (I don't care!) but had 12 boards! In the meantime, Crawford and Blake are getting the extra stuff, Blake, CP3 are doing what they are supposed to do and you have Chauncey doing what Chauncey does.

Billups is the cement that will hold this team together. It's that old school, been there-done that experience that he brings to the team. Watch out for these guys in the playoffs!

I can't imagine having to root for Howard. Even Bosh, Tim Duncan, Parker, Mike Miller, etc. are probably ok as human beings (or at least no more shitty than the rest of us). I could not stand being in the same locker room as him every day. He sucks, period. It's going to get even worse now that he's healthy and the best big man again (maybe, we'll see).

Good thing they are going to get trounced in the playoffs, if they make it.

I'll tell ya, DFS, Howard is a guy I would like to like. I'd like to like him like I liked Shaq.

But, Dwight, pretty much everyone in the world proclaims you to be the best "Big" in the NBA, why are you whining about not being appreciated?

Kobe nailed it when he called Howard out. What many may not realize - I picked this up the next day from Jalen Rose - the Lakers had already had their shoot-around before the question was asked of Kobe. Bryant knew that Howard was playing and that he was in fairly good shape for the game, as the final stats showed.

No doubt, a good part of Dwight's game was a reaction to Kobe's comments. One thing about Kobe is that he will say EXACTLY what he thinks!

Kobe didn't disrespect Dwight - Kobe challenged him to just freakin'
"man up, dude!"

Then, Kobe guarantees that the Lakers will make the playoffs in the wake of Dr. Buss' death. Say what you want, I don't want somebody on my team saying, "I think we can make the playoffs." I want the guy saying, "See you in the playoffs!""

Kobe has done a slight emulation of Wilt Chamberlain. When "The Stilt" averaged 50 pts/gm one year, people were saying he was one-dimensional. Wilt responded by leading the league in assists the next season (probably scoring and boards, as well)!

Kobe has averaged just under 5 assists a game for his career. He had one year at 6 and one at 5.9. This year he is averaging 5.6 - about 1 assist/game over his career average. Over the past 30 days, he is averaging over 8 assists!

Kobe does what Kobe needs to do. In the clutch, on the Lakers, he is the guy I want with the ball in his hands. There aren't a whole lot of guys I would rather have in that moment than him.

They may not get far in the playoffs, but it won't be because Kobe didn't care and Kobe didn't try.

I don't like to admit it, but I like Old Kobe. I had no respect for Young Kobe, hated Prime Kobe, but actually appreciate and enjoy Old Kobe.
