So when Michael Jordan ripped Pippen, Rodman, Kukoc... was he being mean-spirited or a vocal leader?

I guess I just don't see Kobe acting any different.

Lebron James

The funny thing is that he does everything on the court and it is not pretty at all. I have always thought that everything he does looks goofy when he's doing it but it works so whatever.

Yea MJ wasn't demanding trades at the same time he was ripping teammates.

I think his foray's into the lane and his thunderous dunks are pretty spectacular looking.
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

I think Withers has a point, and it goes along with something I have been saying...

Kobe does it \"prettier\", but Lebron does it more efficiently. Unfortunately, the national media is caught up in the \"prettyness\" (to make up a word) and the Lakers in general, and believes Kobe deserves an MVP award (which he has yet to win), so they are already crowning him.

In case you couldn't tell, or didn't read the bloggers MVP rankings thread, I pick Lebron.

I think LeBron James is the most valuable player in the NBA and he would have my vote if I had one.

That being said, if the Lakers finish with the #1 seed, the writers are going to give it to Kobe.

Even if the Rockets win out, McGrady won't win the MVP for this reason - no one wants a repeat Dirk presentation in a media room rather than in the game. I know the Rockets are hot and McGrady is playing out of his mind, but do you honestly see the Rockets winning 4 of 7 games against any of the other western conference teams when those teams have a chance to plan and adjust specifically for them? I don't.

The MVP race is a two manner, it's Kobe and LeBron (all apologies to Paul).

1. Lebron
2. Kobe
3. Garnett
4. Chris Paul
5. McGrady (maybe)/ Damon Jones

The Cavs are a team that can beat anyone on any given night. They have a decent record and were in the finals.
All of the above are attributed to Lebron James. Without him that team wouldn't beat the Wolves, the Knicks, the Griz, the Sonics, or the Gophers. They have no second option. They have no third option. Only a bunch of fourth options in Z, Wally, Delonte, Joe, and Booby.

Lebron is the answer. Close the thread.

Very nice list. Similar to how I've been voting in my bi-weekly Blogger MVP/ROY Rankings.

For the next edition, unless something drastic happens, here's my vote for Top 5:

1) Lebron
2) Kobe
3) KG
4) CP3
5) Dwight Howard
