The Better Late Than Never Edition

1. New England Patriots (5-0) - Same **** different week. There's nothing really to say about them that hasn't been said.

2. Indianapolis Colts (5-0) - They made me look like a jerk by winning so easily. The only true indispensible person on that team in Manning. Anyone else can get hurt and there wouldn't be much pain for the team. Speaking of the Colts and QBs, my old roommate is going to be hanging out with Jim Sorgi (Peyton's backup) because their wives are friends. He does electrical work for him as well, but this will be the first time they officially hang out.

3. Dallas Cowboys (5-0) - The sign of a good team is one that can snatch victory out of the jaws of defeat. Had they lost on Monday I would have given them a better shot at beating the Patriots next week. They still could win...they just can't get off to the same slow start as every other game this season.

4. Pittsburgh Steelers (4-1) - Seemingly the only prediction I got correct that I made last week was that the Steelers would beat the Seahawks. Besides that close loss to Arizona, Pittsburgh has looked pretty impressive. They have a bye week to try and get a few guys healthy and then a smattering of winnable games. (Toughest tests will be Cincinnati twice, New England and Jacksonville).

5. Washington Redskins (3-1) - If you are wondering how I could knock the Packers out of the Top 5 so quickly it's because I predicted the Redskins would beat the Packers this week in my last post. I stand by that prediction and therefor they get spot five. That and they have Antwaan Randle El who has been one of my favorite players since he was IU's QB.

Honorable Mentions:
- Packers (4-1) - You need to win next week to get back in my top 5.
- Titans (3-1) - You are lucky that Byron Leftwich was throwing balls into the third row when the Falcons got in the red zone or you very well could have lost.
- Jaguars (3-1) - Probably the least talked about team with only 1 loss. The reason is their division is good and the teams they have beat aren't.
- Cardinals (3-2) - Could the injury of Matt Leinart be a blessing in disguise?
- Buccaneers (3-2) - You may have done bad last game but you can rebound...you do have a tough schedule though. Especially for a team using a third string RB. Luckily their division is less than great.

Losers of Week 5:
- Travis Johnson - While you have a right to be angry about the low block from Trent Green (even though I don't think he was trying to give a dirty hit). You made yourself look incredibly stupid taunting an unconscious person and then talking **** about him after you saw him get carted off the field.
- The Dolphins - If things couldn't get any worse for your squad, you are starting Cleo Lemon at QB next week.
- The Saints - You lost to a team led by David Carr.
- Me - How the mighty have fallen. I am once again practicing the losing ways of fantasy football and all my predictions last week, save 1, were way off. Not to mention the niners losing in horribly lame and boring fashion.

Games to watch out for next week:
- Patriots v. Dallas - Obvious reasons
- Green Bay v. Washington - Time to see if these teams are for real. Washington took it to Detroit, but that still didn't convince me. Green Bay did beat the currently hot Chargers and Giants, but both teams weren't playing well at the time.
- Oakland v. San Diego - Can Culpepper have another brilliant game? Can the Chargers reclaim the AFC West?

Man Ryan... I'm not gonna lie, I look forward to this little week in reviews each week. This is good stuff and very spot on.

Since your analysis is much better than what I'd do, I'll just rank the Top 5 like usual:

1) Pats - Yawn.
2) Colts - Smaller Yawn.
3) Dallas - Probably still in this spot even if they lost last night.
4) Pittsburgh - Back to their dominating ways.
5) San Diego - Too much talent. They will turn it around.
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

I look forward to your post every week too Ryan! Wow, such in-depth and accurate analysis :cheer:

1-4 are identical...I don't know if there's much room for debate there. I have to give the edge to the Redskins based primarily on the fact Norv Turner is not the Head Coach. SD does have a ton of talent but the team seems to be a ship without a rudder at times...

Can I get another WOWOWOW for the Boys-Bills game last night? How TERRIBLE were Owen's hands last night?? Was Romo wearing blinders?? Luckily the Bills scored NO OFFENSIVE TD's, allowing the 'Boys to hang around way too long or I don't know if I'd legitimately place them below Pittsburgh. Ohh, well we're still 11 weeks from the playoffs...Keep up the great posts Ryan!!!
