We can't dump Favre though... we need him to keep starting so we can get a high draft pick! Hopefully Locker or Luck.

Firing Childress was only over a year too late, but thank God none-the-less.
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

Minnesota Judge gives 7 year old right to decide custody

A seven year old boy was at the center of a county courtroom drama yesterday when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of him. The boy had a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge initially awarded custody to his aunt, in keeping with child custody law and regulation requiring that family unity be maintained to the highest degree possible.

The boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that his aunt beat him more than his parents and he adamantly refused to live with her. When the judge then suggested that he live with his grandparents, the boy cried and said that they also beat him..
After considering the remainder of the immediate family and learning that domestic violence was apparently a way of life among them, the judge took the unprecedented step of allowing the boy to propose who should have custody of him.

After two recesses to check legal references and confer with the child welfare officials, the judge granted temporary custody to the Minnesota Vikings, whom the boy firmly believes are not capable of beating anyone.

I posted it before the news bropke! They fired him YEYEYEYYEYEYEYEYE!!!

This season is over, sure, but now we can start over next year with a new coach, a new QB (because no one will give it to Tarvaris) and still, a team stacked with vets. Maybe we can do something like the Jets (lol, that would be ridiculous if two teams made such big strides after a failed Favre experiment). Sanchez is far from good IMO and they are still owning because they have incredible defense and a good running game.

Vikings to do list

1. Fire Brad Childress
2. Fire Darrell Bevell
3. Give Adrian Peterson the damn football more than 20 times a game
4. Finish Season at 4-12. No higher
5. Go after Jon Gruden for Head Coach.
5b. Go after Bill Cowher for Head Coach
5c. Make Lezlie Frazier Head Coach
6. Sign Brian Billick as Offensive Coordinator
7. Find another stud Defensive Coordinator like we usually do
8. Trade up to the top spot in the draft and take Andrew Luck
9. Upgrade the Offensive Line in the Offseason
10. Add some depth to Defensive Backs
11. Resign Sidney Rice, Chad Greenway, and Adrian Peterson to long-term contracts.
12. New Stadium

I love your thinking here, and couldn't agree more with this being #1. Also, I added a 8b to the above.

At least it's a good year to (finally) draft a franchise QB.

Just keep starting Brett Favre and we'll finish 3 and 13.

Frickin Sid Hartman. So clueless:

Players, not coach, the Vikings' problem

Not all of the blame is on Childress, but man how do most sports writers not know that this guy is a horrible leader. they keep saying he improved our record by 2 wins each season. Um that goes more on the players than the coach. Every year we were adding key veterans that were helping us win, but when a coach is willing to throw veterans under the bus and not take the blame either is pathetic. You can't have it both ways. The way everyone is making it look is like we made it to the nfc championship because of childress and haven't done well this year because of the players? WTF that makes no sense

Thank you. I was also reading Gregg Easterbrooks Tuesday Morning Quarterback on espn and he offered this little gem.

Green Bay leading 10-3 with nine seconds remaining before intermission, Packers QB Aaron Rodgers tossed a 3-yard touchdown pass to James Jones in the corner of the end zone. There was a slight chance Jones did not get both feet in, so a booth review began. Over on the Vikes' sideline, Childress threw his challenge flag. Coaches cannot challenge in the final two minutes of a half. It was embarrassing for Childress to seem to have no idea how this rule reads.

This sums up childress in a nutshell. Dumbass
