"Not a friendly environment." he said. Well, since Irsay kicked everyone out and is giving clear signals he wants to start over... Peyton has a what, 28 million bonus coming up, lol? He gets out of his deal like yesterday. Andrew Luck will be the future in indy and Peyton will be a FA.

Personally, the Vikes should screw Ponder's development (who is not that good if you ask me, he's a career backup) and just do the Favre thing all over again. We BADLY NEED a pass-heavy offense with AP coming back from a demolished knee injury. We have a veteran defense and a solid offensive piece in Percy Harvin.

And we all know who Peyton is.

I'm just afraid he'll choose differently. I see him choosing a team like the Seahawks/Cardinals, which have everything in place except the QB. and thats a much, much weaker deivision to fight through. Alex Smith 2011 might just turn out to be an aberration, the Rams suck, the Seahawks/Cardinals (whichever he doesnt choose) will suck.

Thankfully I think he's too smart to go to the Jets lol.

I just imagined how scary the Seahawks would be with Peyton throwing to Sidney Squid Rice and Mike 6'6 Williams. And with marshawn Lynch in the backfield.

But when you think about it, the NFC North would be the best division in the history of football if Peyton landed in Minnesota.

I agree with everything you wrote. Ponder is terrible and Webb isn't really a starter either. Get Peyton! Man that would be so awesome. There aren't many other options out there. They're not going to draft a QB and the best FA QB besides Peyton is Matt Flynn. We'll probably end up having to suffer through the entire season with Ponder starting :S

The only problem is that Peyton is going to have his pick of many teams. Everyone who doesn't have a really solid QB will take a run at him.

Well, it's not exactly a Favre rerun because Manning still has several good years in him (if he's healthy). Also, the Vikings don't have a veteran defense. If by veteran you mean guys who have been starting or playing minutes for far too long then sure. They need an overhaul on D.

Manning would be great here in MN. The Vikings are too entrenched in their dumb stadium issues with the dumb MN politicians and community leaders so this is probably far from the Wilfs' minds.

Hell yeah! Sign me up for Peyton. We absolutely could use him. Ponder and Webb suck, and we are a mostly veteran team anyways.

Peyton still has a good 3-4 years in him if there are no lingering problems from this recent surgery. He is one of the best QB's in the history of the NFL, and has not shown any signs of slowing down on the field.
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

Well, we have our hole's on D (*cough* secondary *cough*) but Jared Allen, Kevin Williams, Chad Greenway, EJ Henderson (if healthy) are studs. Something can be built on this! We definately need an overhaul in the secondary though. Winfield is old and the other guys SUCK.

We own the 3rd pick. The Rams will not draft a QB because they're commited to Bradford. Robert Griffin III is there for the taking and he is much, much better than Ponder.

But since Leslie already said they are not drafting a QB... Matt Kalil is going to the Rams sadly. So I'd be down with draftin either Justin Blackmon to play opposite Percy as our starting WR or Morris Claiborne - studly CB.

As for Peyton - I think he might be attracted to the Vikes for the same reason Favre and McNabb were - this team is an elite QB away from being a powerhouse. Favre's 2009 proved that. I know, Squid Rice is gone but Percy Harvin is sooo much better than he was in 2009.

Still, as I said before - the Seahawks have the same situation and a much, much weaker division.

I guess you're right saying a lot of teams will make a run for him.

No way in hell Peyton comes here. The guy just had major neck surgery. Why would he choose a team with the worst offensive line in the league? Ponder and Webb can't do anything because as soon as the ball is snapped they have pressure in 1 second. No qb can be good when they only get 1 second to find an open receiver. Peyton would come here and get paralyzed in the first game. He's choosing a place with a solid line, aka San Fran

Manning has a great relationship with the Colts. I'd dread for his well beings being thrown to the wolves in MN if he were to struggle with ongoing neck issues. I'd expect him to stay put and retire a Colt.

Yea sadly I have to agree. This team has so many holes, we're nowhere close to being a powerhouse.

It pains me to say it but EJ was pretty terrible last season. I don't think he'll back. Not as a starter anyways.

Our O-line is horrible, our receivers other than Percy, our linebackers, and our secondary are all really bad. If we don't finish last in the NFC North, it could be considered a successful season.

I don't think Peyton would actually come here but it'd be awesome if he did.

Lol thanks again for another informed opinion. Peyton is gone from Indy, they don't want to pay the $28 million signing bonus he is due.

Maybe you can enlighten me which team is now a part of.
