Vikings traded down from #3 to #4 with the Browns. The Browns are taking Trent Richardson. Nice.

Saw that, and concur.

PJD is gonna put up an open chat thread for the draft. I'll post a link so we can all talk there once he does.
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

Good 1st round. The trade with the Browns really helps and they didn't overthink it and took Kalil. Harrison Smith might have been available at #35, but I see what they are doing. They had to make sure they got him, because there are literally no other safeties in this draft that could be a starter right away.

Then again, I was never worried about the 1st round. We have made good 1st round picks in recent years (with the exception of Ponder  ). It's rounds 2-7 where they can't draft worth shit.

I'm hoping Lavonte David the LB from Nebraska falls so the Vikes can nab him. Either that or trade up for someone like Stephen Hill WR from Georgia Tech or CB Janoris Jenkins.

Lavonte David fell far enough where they could have traded up for him. Too bad the Bucs stole him, he 's going to be one of the best LB's from this draft.

The Vikes took CB Josh Robinson from UCF with their 3rd round pick. He is the fastest player in the draft with a 4.33 40-yard dash. He may or may not actually be good at the game of football...

GAHHHHHHH!!! There were like 5 WR's I wanted, or Lavonte David (STUD!), or Jenkins or Dennard (two potential very good CB's.)

And we got.............. none of them. Good grief. I knew Davick Spielmahn would regress to the mean in Day 2.

Epic fail. :(

Ehhhhh, I dunno. Some analyists aren't too high on him. He's fast, which is good, but he's freakin short (5'10" FAIL), and doesn't exactly have the best draft grade. (Link is: nfl.com/draft/2012/tracker/by-round#dt-by-round-input:3)

I bet they would have taken Trumaine Johnson from Montana, but he got taken the pick right before by the Rams.

Haha the Redskins took Kirk Cousins in the 4th round after trading all those picks to get RGIII. That was dumb. But then again, I'm less than impressed with the Vikings picks in rounds 4-7 as well.

Why the fyck did they draft a tiny 5'9" slot/speed guy at WR when Nick Toon & McNutt were still on the board?

We got 2 receivers from Arkansas, 2 DBs from Notre Dame, and 2 players from USC. I think Speilman only scouted like 10 schools this year. :S

Of course the the Patriots take Alfonzo Dennard in the middle of the 7th round. Too bad he's not on the Vikings, I'm a fan of anybody that punches a cop in the face 5 days before the draft.

Ha! I forgot about him. Damn, I'm pissed he's not on the Vikes. I unabashedly support him no matter the reason for the punch. Maybe that particular cop didn't deserve but, not more likely than not he's a cocksucker.
