I'd be really happy with that pick. He's one of the 4 guys I want along with Vernan Gholston (will be gone long before the Vikes pick), Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, and Aqib Talib

I haven't looked since prior to the combines, but I saw at least three mock drafts before that had the Vikes taking that Jonathon Ogden-sized DE out of Miami.

Good thing we took Williamson over Merriman. In all, we traded Randy Moss for a sixth rounder overall. Sweet.

Do you think Kelly will be available for us to take at 17? I think that the Kelly pick would help with chemistry. Kelly and Peterson probably have a pretty good relationship.

Agreed. A very solid pick if he's available. I'd say there's about a 50-50 chance he's there at 17.

I think he will be there, but it really depends on how he does at his pro day, he didn't work out at the combine.
