1. New England - Complete and utter domination
2. Indy - They beat the Saints handily, but they're clearly not the same team as last year. Then they beat the Titans, and although it was close, they were clearly in the driver's seat the whole time. The Colts are a very good football team, but I think the Patriots have the makings of a legendary football team.
3. San Diego - They got killed by a potentially legendary football team, so I won't penalize them too much for that. Somebody had to lose that game. They still beat Chicago and I can't put any other team ahead of them in good conscience.
4. Dallas - My current pick for the NFC Super Bowl representative. Chicago scored 3 points against the Bolts and didn't crush KC.
5. Pittsburgh - I'm grudgingly givng them this spot. I don't think they're that good, but they did kill their oppontents. Granted, both of their opponents stink, but that probably counts for a little more than a team like San Fran or Denver who squeaked by.
Honorable Mentions:
San Fran and Denver - like I said, they squeaked by twice.
Titans - Beat Jacksonville and lost to the Colts by only two
Houston - Beating KC won't get you much praise, but knocking of Carolina on the road was big.
Baltimore - I'd say they're the best team nobody's talking about right now. I think the Steelers are actually a paper tiger and the Ravens will take the AFC North.
