In 2001, the Gophers started 1-4 so it's possible they were ranked that low. Also, in 1997 they started 2-1 but then lost the next 7 games...otherwise the Gophers finished near .500 every other year.

I'm sorry, but all of the media love and looking the other way with Brewster is extremely annoying to me. If we had started out this way with Mason everyone would be ripping him non-stop. And he never talked such a big game like the new guy is. It reminds me of the way the Boston media treats Doc Rivers.

Is Brewster a salesman or a coach? He is only good at one of those 2 things, IMO.
