Let me start off by saying:
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHHAAHHAHAH HAHAHAHAHHAAHHAHAHAHAAHHAAHAHAHHAAHAHHAHHAHAHAHAAHAH HAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAHHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I'm not sure there was anything else possible CBS could have done to make this any crappier.
I felt bad for the announcers, which included Ken Shamrock, who I'm certain were forced to talk up the fighters involved to no end. They made them sound like they were the best in all of mma, when in actuality they're a bunch of scrubs from a triple A MMA league.
I don't know how this could possibly help the popularity of MMA, as if it were my 1st time to ever watch it i'd be thinking, \"this is the best they have, uhh yea count me out\" They should do anything and everything possible to get out of their contract with CBS, who only have getting good ratings in mind.
What else was there, oh yea a DANCE SQUAD and some of the fighters who are and always will be neverbeens came out in practically costumes acting like they're the G.O.A.T. That made me laugh.
Let's get to the actual fights. All 5 of the fights were stopped by the ref. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
There was a title bout that took place and one of the fighters got poked in the eye, which means they get 5 min. to recouperate and then continue fighting if they wish and the doctor agrees that he can still fight. Well they didn't even give him his full 5 minutes and the doctors concluded that he couldn't continue fighting. This doesn't count as a loss because 3 rounds hadn't been concluded and it doesn't even count as a fight. Both fighters wanted to keep going and it's not like he didn't want to have a loss on his record, he just wanted to keep going. Wow. I'm pretty sure they stopped this one because it was the only bout that had any semblence of actual fighting.
After this there was a good 5 min. \"bullshit\" chant from the crowd, which was totally deserved. Much of the night was filled with boos from the crowd. haha.
I can safely say that Kimbo Slice has no business being in UFC yet. He has absolutely no ground game or stamina. At one point he was on the mat and just laid there taking punches and elbows because he didn't know how to get out of a certain position. This continued until the end of the round. Alas he won because, you guessed it, the ref stopped the fight. To give him credit he was beating on the other guy and at the point the ref stopped the fight was actually somewhat legit.
All I have to say is this was such a COLOSSAL FAILURE that every fan or semi-fan (like me) should wish upon a lucky star that MMA stays on cable.
