TOPIC: College Basketball Top 25 - Rank 'em!

College Basketball Top 25 - Rank 'em! 4 years 7 months ago #24136

Here is the latest AP top 25 Poll:

1. North Carolina
2. Connecticut
3. Louisville
4. UCLA
5. Pittsburgh
6. Michigan State
7. Texas
8. Duke
9. Notre Dame
10. Gonzaga
11. Purdue
12. Oklahoma
13. Memphis
14. Tennessee
15. Arizona State
16. Marquette
17. Miami (FL)
18. USC
19. Florida
20. Davidson
21. Wake Forest
22. Georgetown
23. Villanova
24. Kansas
25. Wisconsin

3 Teams that are overranked:

UCLA - Lost some good talent, Love and Westbrook, to the NBA. I think it's too early in the season to give them this high of a rank. Plays non-conference at Texas. Will be a good opportunity to show they deserve top 5 considerations.

Notre Dame - I love 'em, but too many shooters/perimeter players in a physical Big East Conference. Not sure they have the inside presence to remain in the top 10. UCLA hosts the Irish in Early December, the schedule does them no favors this year as ND also has Oh State on the non-conference docket.

Gonzaga - New Rule: No more ranking the Zag's in the top 25 preseason. Deal. - - I know it's always fun to cheer for the underdog/little guy, but they've advanced past the sweet 16 just one time this decade...isn't it time for this fad to end?

1) UNC
2-300+) Everybody else

B)
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

You would! :P

Although their replacement center for Ty-Bro is now out for the year. UCLA proved my point yesterday by losing to a surprising Michigan team. The Wolverines used the back-cut well to defeat the Bruins in a pre-season tourney and now Mich faces my Blue Devils in the championship game.

Dangit... Duke won. :( Stupid Duke...

Could be a good NCAA season. A lot of the teams at the top right now are "pretenders", moreso than "contenders"... in my opinion.

Big game tonight! Texas vs Notre Dame! Who knew that would be a bigger game on the court than on the field??
