Being a newbie and a buddy of CW, I posted my hockey thoughts on his recent Kevin Love thread. He showed me the way to the World Wide Sports section!!

Not sure if any of you basketball goons care but there have been recent talks with the Atlanta Thrashers of possibly trading Kim Johnsson and Marion "the baby" Gaborik for Ilya Kovalchuk and Colby Armstrong. I for one would have already done this deal. Kovalchuk has played in at least 65 games per year over the past 6 years and has totaled 500 goals in that time. I wish it was Skola over Johnsson but to get rid of Gaborik's baggage for a reliable and great producing forward is just what the Wild need.
