They deserve it. If they beat a few more division I schools, maybe another ranked team (if they even play another one) and go undefeated there is no reason they should be excluded.

I was reading an article yesterday and some guy was saying that they are one of the hottest teams in the nation right now.

His reasoning was that they ended last season winning like 4 straight playoff games and the championship. Then, they come out and beat the #5 ranked team in Michigan.

I agree, they definitely deserve it.

I do think they deserve it...the problem is they play only Division I-AA teams for the rest of the way I think (is Northern Arizona IA or IAA?). So it may be hard to gauge how good they actually are. They *might* be ranked next week but I don't think they'll stay there for long given all the opponents with multiple names they'll be playing (Northeastern Missouri State College of Mines Technical University Academy is who they play next week I think)

I agree but it's always a tough thing to determine when App State won't play anyone good for the rest of the year. Plus, there are questions about how good Michigan actually was given the shellacking Oregon gave them on Saturday. I would really like to see them there for one week but that's about all I think they'll get...

Go IRISH!! Can't wait for the Hall of Fame Game between Michigan and Notre Dame (as in: All the good players for both teams are now retired).
