I don't know if this would ever happen because I think LT wants to be a starter if not that still get a lot of playing time which would be nearly impossible. I think it would be great though because it gives Peterson a mentor who used to be the best running back in the game. Still wish the vikings would be looking for a offensive lineman because that was the one part of our offense that wasn't great.

LT definitely isn't close to the same dominant player he used to be, but I'd still love him on the Vikes. He would be a great mentor and backup to AP. Plus, with less carries it would probably keep LT fresh and healthy. That would be awesome to see him and AP together...
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

We were just talking about this at work. It would be awesome if LT came here!

Would he play second fiddle to AP? That's the question.

But him and AP would be a nice one-two.

If he knows he's going to be the 3rd down RB, then I'm all for it.

Otherwise no, cuz I don't want him on our team sulking all season like he's been doing for the past 2 years in San Diego.

Westbrook would be a perfect fit on the Vikings but apparently his knee is so messed up that he needs to go to a team that plays and practices on real grass if he wants to have a chance at making it through a whole season. :(

Yes.

He has stated he just wants to win a championship. Also, being the backup would save a ton of wear and tear on his body.

We are very good team with a bunch of veterans. Why wouldn't he want to come here?

Don't forget his concussion problems. I think that's even worse than his knee.

I'd rather have LT anyways. He'd be a great 3rd down back, and could probably teach AP a thing or two about NOT FRICKIN FUMBLING!!!!!

P.S. Why couldn't we have AP and LT on the field at the same time some plays? We could swing them both out in opposite directions, and then just hit whomever is more open for easy 6-8+ yard gains. And that's not even counting Percy Harvin in the slot as well. How would anyone ever stop that???

"3rd and 4. Favre backs up. Hands it to LT. finds a gap. To the 40. The 30. 20. 10. 5. TOUCHDOWN!!!"

we might as well consider looking at him, since we lost chester taylor.

I don't see why we wouldn't. He's the perfect fit for us at this stage in his career. Assuming he is fine with being a "backup" and doesn't think he's going to come and be a starter. I think he would be ok with it though and excel in the role...

As much as AP says he prefers being in a singleback set and doesn't need a fullback, I think that is part of the problem. He is better when we had a good FB (Richardson).

Now he is either in the backfield by himself or has Tahi blocking for him, who absolutely sucks balls and there aren't any holes there.

Of course, the fact that our line isn't that good anymore is part of the problem too.

So as much as I'd like to get LT to back up AP, getting a good fullback is more important IMO. The Panthers just cut Hoover, we should get him.

Great points.

But why can't we get LT and a fullback? Also, our line definitely sucks. Follow McKinnie on Twitter, he's a frickin nutjob headcase.

We need to spend our top picks on offensive lineman this draft. No debate if we want the Vikes to succeed this year, or even for Favre to live through the season.

Yea I would love if we got both. We would be able to since LT doesn't apply to those stupid "Final 8" free agency rules.

McKinnie is terrible. He can't pass block worth shit. Who ever heard of a LT that can't pass block? I hope they trade him after this season.

Hutchinson is slowing down, but still playing at a Pro Bowl level for the time being, and Loadholt is pretty studly and should be for a long time, but besides that the rest of our line is not very good.

On top of that, we just lost Artie Hicks to the Redskins. He wasn't anything great, but he was serviceable and a solid backup that could play multiple positions. Sucks for us.

LT is visiting the Vikings. I think this is going to happen. An AP and LT combo!!! The other team that is interested in LT are the Raiders. Come on now, if it was up the the Raiders or the Vikings. LT has to chose the Vikings.

ah good ole' football talk to get my sports fever going again. Vikings most certainly need to address the offensive line because that is the only part of our offense that isn't stacked anymore. I think Hutchinson will be fine this year because he finally had shoulder surgery and should be back to 100%. Hopefully a year of experience for Loadholt and Sullivan will help them. We most certainly need to get rid of Mckinnie though because if you look up overrated in the dictionary i swear there would be a picture of McKinnie in there.

Another Position we need to secure is CB. Our lack of depth could cost us in some games. It scares me with Winfield not playing the entire year last year and then Griffin going down with the acl tear in that game i'm trying to block out. We need to draft/pick up a CB who can make plays on defense like INT's not just pass breakups.

LT will probably sign with us if the Raiders are the only competition because who wants to play for them? LT could teach AP a lot because he used to be the best back in the league on every down not just 1st and 2nd. Childress will have to learn to use them in the splitback because opposing defenses would be terrified with them 2 on the field plus favre and our receiving corps. They would have to pick their poison and no matter what the poison they pick will be fatal.
