BTW, a couple of hours before some Longhorns blog broke that the Big 12 was staying together, ESPN posted an article saying that they had "sources" and that Texas + the others were going to the PAC 10.

A reason for ND to join now is that they are still on strong enough ground as to dictate terms. When that NBC deal is gone they won't have the same leverage.
