Any thoughts on the Lesnar Carwin fight? Both men won my respect, for sure. Being a native Minnesotan I was rooting for Brock, so I'm glad he won. Brock must have been screaming "I'm fine, don't stop it" when he was getting pummeled. They usually stop those fights. That man can absolutely swallow a punch. How is his face alive? He kept his composure and knew he needed to get the fight to the ground. Poor Carwin probably was on the verge of dying if he didn't tap out. That was a viscious hold… Congrats Lesnar!

On a related subject, anyone see Fedor tap out? Werdum got the luckiest moment in his career. Fedor was pissed. Ha, take that. Maybe if you fought in the UFC this wouldn't happen. Oh wait, yes it would. I'd love to see Fedor fight Brock, Couture, Carwin, Cain Velasquez, etc. He'd be best served to lose the flab and fight at 205, I imagine.

I also watched the PPV last night (at a sports bar) and was pretty impressed overall. Looking at the card beforehand... man, I thought it was gonna suck balls. It was decent though.

There have been sooooo many fights stopped long before Lesnar-Carwin. Mad props to Josh Rosenthal for not stopping the fight. Dana White probably threatened he'd be fired if he called the fight early, lol. Carwin was pummeling him, and props to Lesnar for staying lucid. You could tell Carwin was slowing down though, so that's probably why it wasn't stopped after that initial opening volley. Lesnar's choke was nice. That would have snapped any of our necks in like 3 seconds.

Lesnar was hurt, which was surprising to see. But props to him. He's definitely the #1 heavyweight in the world. He's gonna have some crazy competition though coming up. Cain Valequez and Junior Dos Santos, for starters. Carwin was still impressive though, he's legit. The entire bar was cheering like crazy when Lesnar won. It was awesome.

Fedor sucked because he hasn't needed to train or get in shape for so long, since his competition hasn't been the best. He'd be much better off at 205 in the UFC. Get him in shape and I think he'd be back on top before too long.

Man..didn't get to see it..but saw highlights of the fight.

Lesnar is the best. Most fighters would of been knocked out or the fight would of been stop but Lesnar is a beast.

First round was pretty tough to watch! My hands were clinched with a lighter in hand as a fist pack I prayed the ref not to stop it. He wasn't fighting back but was either covering or grabbing Carwin's hands when he could. After the pummeling and Brock looking like a bitch running and covering to get away you got that feeling things were going to get better. Easily you saw Carwin was out of shape. His mouth was wide open sucking air a minute in and his punches began to slow and as Brock said felt less and less fierce with each punch. Seeing Brock weather the storm was awsome none the less. One tough motherfucker. In the Second round as soon as they went to the ground and Brock got into position I knew it was over. Was a great win for Lesnar and as you said Fedor lost so now Brock's the "Baddest Man Alive"!
Always nice to have a guy like that repn the MPLS/ST.PAUL area!
