Being 6 outs away from pitching a no-hitter is a spot that Slowey may never again find himself in for his whole career. If he gives up one hit, then take him out. Until then, let him control his own destiny. Once in a career opportunity taken away = sad.

Agreed. A no hitter puts you on the map. To say a guy had tendinitis last year so he can't try for a no hitter this year is a major major stretch.

You can't just give him an extra days rest to make up for the stess?

Last year? He had tendinitis like 10 days before that game.
