This is probably the biggest news going around in Minnesota especially with spring training right around the corner. I think that if the Twins would trade Liriano we are going "future" mode and that is the dumbest thing to do with a team that has a bunch of its core players in their prime. Why waste their prime years? Not to mention Liriano is our best pitcher in the organization and we want to get rid of him?? I know his value is high but that leaves us with a starting roation of Pavano, Baker, Duensing, Blackburn, and Slowey. Oh yeah the AL is shaking in their cleats looking at that rotation.
Also the 2 interested teams are the Yankees and Rangers. So we will trade our best player to the 2 teams who were the best in the AL last year only making them stronger in the long run while we will dig ourselves further into a hole. Does any Minnesota Franchise know what they are doing? Oh yeah the Wild, solid team no star players getting work done!
