Will anyone of you guys be watching the fight tonight?

I suppose it will be Pay-TV only in the U.S. ...in Germany, it will be aired live (starting 03.30 a.m.) in one of the biggest private Free-TV stations. Don't know if it will be aired here in Finland, though. But I don't think so, at least not in Free-TV, I guess.

Germany loves the Klitchkos, because - as I tried to explain in my other posts - Germany loves successful athletes (and at least the younger of the two brothers is), even when they don't come from Germany originally if they embrace Germany. And the way those two Ukranians have done that is near to without comparison.

So I bet many, many German sport fans will be up very early this morning to root for Wladimir Klitschko to win this title unifcation match at the most prominent arena of the world...

It's not on Pay Per View here... but kinda. It's on a channel called \"HBO\", which is a premium channel that you have to pay extra money to \"subscribe\" to every month. The channel typically plays unedited movies with no commercials all day long. Also has shows like \"The Soprano's\" on it. Not sure if you knew what HBO was or not, so just some quick info.

I wish I could watch the fight, but I don't get HBO. I do enjoy watching big time boxing heavyweight bouts. I watched his brother fight his title fight a few years back... where his face got all bloody and beat up. That was a great fight.
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

I guess that everyone is quite happy that he did NOT watch the fight. I have not seen I and would not even had if I could (I did not even check), because I don't care that much about boxing in the first place and especially not about heavywweights to get up this early in the morning. IMO, there's not much more about it than two more ore less immovable mountains of flesh (hopefully more muscle than fat) beat each other until one doesn't get up again...

...BOOOOORING!

If I watch boxing, I prefer middle- and cruiserweight fights. There is still enough punch in them to hope for the occasional knock out, but the fight itself is more about dynamic, movement and boxings technique than just about \"who beats the other guy senseless first?\".

But as far as I have read this morning, the fight must have been even more boring than I would have expected. Klitchko did exactly what he had to do to win, but absolutely nothing more. Keeping his shorter opponent on distance with his long left...jab, I think although from what I read, it was more \"grabing than jabing\" and using his right hammer only in the very few occasions where it posed absolutely no risk.

Audience was booing the last four rounds...hey, at least they know how to do it in the Garden. Just a normal sports evening in New York, I'd say. Lousy performance, booing audience...

I wonder if anyone had some \"fire Isiah\" signs with him...

Oh wow, thanks for the update. Sounds like I didn't miss a thing... :S

For what it's worth, Heavyweight boxing used to be a *lot* better, it has really gone downhill the past few years.

And THIS fight surely did not help restore it's image. I read that Lennox Lewis, asked about his opinion after the fight, tried to be polite at first when stating \"Wladimir boxed a very good defensive fight\", but quickly showed his dissapointment while continuing \"He had to do far more offensively. Honestly, we need a real good fight now just to forget this evening\".

I have heard bigger compliments to a World Champion already...
