Phelps is the biggest stud EVER. He should have at least 20 medals, and I don't see that record ever being broken? Also, he could swim again in 4 years or is 31 years old too old for a swimmer to do much? He already said he was retiring after these Olympics, but he theoretically could get up to like 25 medals (or more!) Insane.

Jordyn Weibers mom is just a total crazy soccer mom psycho. I feel bad for her. I bet her childhood (or lackthereof) royally sucked.

The women's team was awesome last night though. None of them will ever be as good hot as ALICIA SACRAMONE!!!
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

I'm rallying behind the women's volleyball team. That's where it's at. The women's gymnastics team was very impressive last night. Gabby is the best on the team, and McKayla is the coolest. Can't wait for the track & field events to start.

I irrationally dislike Varejao. Almost as much as Scola.

Shved had a horrible 4th quarter, turned the ball over, allowed Brazil to creep back in, bricked two FTs when Russia was down 3 with a minute left...

Then just sunk a clutch 3 over Nene to tie the game with 20 seconds left.

Nice hoop by not anyone on Brazil you would want to have taking the last shot to go up by 2 with 6 ticks left.

End of game - Shved 17 pts, 7/15 FG (2/7 3FG), 1/4 FT (!), 6 AST, 6 TO, 3 REB. Sloppy.

Kirilenko 19 pts, 5/9 FG (1/1 3FG), 8/13 FT, 4 REB, 1 AST, 2 TO, 1 STL, 1 BLK.

Between the two of them they drew 12 fouls though (Kirilenko drawing 8 of them). Kirilenko had one of those typical games he has where he's out there but didn't do anything flashy, played solid D and did the dirty work. I'll take it.

Shved... no energy. Little defense. Choked down the stretch, but then wanted to win more than the other guys and locked in with the game on the line. Hit a clutch 3 and made a good inbound pass on the last play. If that's a down game from him, I'll take it. Way more active and aggressive than any of our guards last year, and tilts more towards the JJ Barea (trying to do waaaay too much) vs. the Wes Johnson (floating).

Mozgov is impressive. I was wrong to compare him to Darko, he is a beast if he continues developing his post game.

The dude that made the last shot clearly got fouled as well... 4 point play to end the game? They let it go, which is fine. But the Brazilian dude chasing him "swept the leg".

Quick question: how close to NBA do you think the Olympic competition is this year? It's definitely a cut above Summer League (the reffing is more consistent as well), but is it comparable to a couple bad teams in the NBA you think? I mean, outside of the US I mean. Does the Spain roster have a shot against the Knicks, for instance, or the Spurs?

Just trying to project Shved a little bit. Obviously the USA is so stacked that it's useless using them as a measuring stick.
