In Northwestern's game against visiting Cornell (Iowa) College, the Eagles scored a touchdown with 51 seconds left to pull within a point, 31-30. Then things got weird, according to D3football.com:

\"… The home team's potential game-tying PAT was delayed for nearly 15 minutes by the home team's sprinkler system, which soaked the center of the field.\"

When they finally got the sprinklers shut off, Cornell blocked the kick and ran out the clock for the victory. So much for home-field advantage.

OUCH. And I thought it sucked to be a Gopher's fan lol. (yes, it still does... I know.)

LOL! It sure does. The Gophers were something like 16 point favs to win against Bowling Green...why?? I don't know. I would've taken that bet for sure! Yeah, it's the first time a ranked team lost to a 1-AA team. Appalachian State's attendance for the entire 2006 season was around 150,000...they beat Michigan in front of 105,000 on Saturday. Pretty impressive stuff, huh?

Michigan dropped from #5 to unranked in this weeks polls!!!

Hahahahahaha that's awesome. I'm glad Michigan lost. Serves them right for their lame*** cupcake scheduling.

Not fair, but I guess that's what we get as Minnesota fans. The football stadium issue really hurts our recruiting efforts...that and the fact we don't ever win more than 7 games.
