Hey everyone,
I can't say that I have spare time to run this game and do everyone's scoring every week, but it people are up to keeping track of their own score, that's cool with me.
The Rules:
Pick every game straight-up - You get 1 point for every correct pick
Pick every game against the spread using Bill Simmons' lines - You get 2 points for every correct pick
Select a Pick of the Week for your spread games - If they win you get 5 points instead of 2
Pick an "Upset Special" - If that team wins outright you get double your points for that spread pick, so 4 total if it's a regular spread pick and 10 if your pick of the week is your upset special
Make your "Money Picks". You have 25 credits you must bet with. Every credit is worth $100 as a win and -$110 as a loss. You may place up to 10 credits on only one team, all other teams may have no more than 5 credits placed on them.
For example:
SD x 10 - One team can go up to ten
DAL x 5 - Everyone else is under 5
NO x 5
HOU x 2
TEN x2
Or...
SD x 8 - You can go up to ten, but don't have to
DAL x 5 - Everyone else is 5 and under
NO x 5
HOU x 4
TEN x2
But not...
SD x 8
DAL x 6 - Only one team can have more than five
NO x 5
HOU x 4
TEN x2
For starters, tonight I'm taking Washington +4, Washington Straight, and not putting any "money" on it. I'll do the rest of my picks later.
Anyone is free to join in, but you have to keep track of your own score. You can post your score in each week's thread after the week is over. I'll copy and paste them into an official scoring thread. I just don't have time to do everyone's calculations.
