I can't think of a single game in the past seven seasons where the Patriots have gone through a week like this where they get trashed in the media, go through some kind of controversy, etc. and don't come out with a dominating win.
San Diego could very well break the trend and pick up the W. I just think history has made enough of a case against it to make them a \"pick of the week\".
Then again, if you interpret pick of the week to be \"my most suprising pick that I could be bragging about on Monday\" then San Diego makes sense. I interpret pick of the week as the pick I think is most likely to pan out. I'd be very surprised if Dallas didn't beat Miami by more than 3.5, that's why they're my pick of the week.
So I see where you're coming from if this is your \"big call\". But if you really think San Diego at +3.5 is a better bet than some of the other lines, I don't know what to say.
You are right, we do have a misinterpretation. I have never picked wins and losses before, so I wasn't really sure. I guess I should change my pick of the week then.
