Maybe McHale believes the Wolves need to fill out the affiliated D-League team completely themselves?

Whiskey, that's just silly. Your logic is terribly flawed. Guarantee ya that Ricky would be the QB and Foye would start at RB. Gomes is our fullback and star linebacker along with Craig.

I agree with ya... Not sure what Whiskey's thinking. :silly:

Also, GG and Brewer would definitely be our starting Receivers.

Jefferson is our Tight End.

Theo's the trainer.

Blount is the waterboy.
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

No way! You want Foye to be our PG but not QB?? I would definitely put Dazzle at RB, he's got all the moves!! I like GG & Brewer on the outside and Jefferson at TE. Theo can be the tackling dummy in practice and Blount would probably poison the water, so we'll move him to \"Visitor Relations\"

Hahaha that last football post was funny lol. Especially about Blount.

Anyhow, I never heard back from Mr. Zgoda. Here's the email I sent him if anyone is interested:

Hello Mr. Zgoda,

I'm sorry, but that article that was posted on Startribune.com Friday 9/28/07 is just shoddy journalism. You said that \"[The Hassell trade] clears the way for the team to sign second-round draft pick Chris Richard before it leaves for Turkey today.\"

I'm sorry, but that couldn't be further from the truth. Did you do any research at all in regards to the Wolves roster situation or the rules involved with number of players that each team can have?

The money involved has NO bearing whatsoever on signing Mr. Richard. As I posted in my \"Financial State of the Wolves\" overview (http://www.twolvesblog.com/college-wolf/minnesota-timberwolves/the-financial-state-of-the-wolves.html) (see points 3 & 8), a team can sign their rookies and/or ANY number of random people to a minimum deal (before the cutdown date.) We could have signed Richard the day he was drafted! We could have kept Hassell and signed him! Signing him WASN'T the problem... the problem is having roster spaces! We still can only have 15 guys on our roster come November 1st!!! ARGH! Now, every Joe Q. Public is gonna think \"wow, that's a good trade because now we can sign Chris Richard! Yippee!\" This trade did NOTHING in terms of opening up a roster spot for Chris Richard. We are in the same exact situation that we were before the trade, in regards to Chris Richard being on this team.

Just thought you should know~

I didn't even mention the fact that he neglected to clarify that Buckner's deal is only 2 years guaranteed, rather than 3.

Regardless, it was still a crap article.

And it throws an even worse image on a writer that seems unable or unwilling to react on criticism.

Nice mail, College Wolf!

Thanks. B)

I agree. A response would have at least shown that he cares. Oh well... whatever I guess.
