NBA TV will tip off its coverage with doubleheader action on Saturday, Oct. 6, beginning with a contest between the Celtics and Raptors in Rome live at 2:30 p.m. ET followed by the Timberwolves against Efes Pilsen from Istanbul on tape delay at 5:30 p.m. ET. Dave Johnson and Tim Capstraw will call the first game, while Rick Kamla and Alaa Abdelnaby will announce the second game. NBA.com will present a live webcast of the Timberwolves-Efes Pilsen game beginning at 3 p.m. ET.

I'll have a live blog of the game on the front page. Should be a fun game...our first look at the new squad.

It's on NBATV.com (or whatever) right now actually. Mine sucks though, it's hard to watch. My feed keeps \"freezing up\" followed by like 3 seconds of footage before it freezes again. Ugh.

It's halftime. What do ya know... gall that Ryan Gomes guy sure looks like he's doing pretty well. 10 points and 10 boards.

Not only that, but six of those are offensive rebounds. Nice! Bout time the Wolves get some second-chance opportunities. In my view, that was one of their major weaknesses last season.

I hope those uniforms are just like a temporary pre-season thing, because I'm not a fan at all...

I agree, CW...our uniforms suck. Also, the refs look completely ridiculous in their orange and blue unis.

It certainly isn't comforting to be playing neck-and-neck with a Turkish team, but I've seen quite a bit of stuff to feel good about, too.

Wow. We only won by THREE?! some Turkish team? omg. we are gonna be brutal this year. A bottom 5 team in the NBA for CERTAIN. We didn't even have anyone score over TWELVE points. We are gonna eat. Sorry DeRok, but I think you are very delusional about this. I usually appreciate your optimism and am often optimistic myself (well I have been the past 10 years, not so much this year), but there is NO CHANCE we will make the playoffs.

It's one game, and it was our first game with all these new players. Those Turkish guys have probably been playing together for a while.

The rest of the world isn't very far behind the U.S. when it comes to basketball any more. If Team USA can win bronze medals, or even fail to medal at all against teams from other countries, it's not shocking that this group of youngsters who have barely played together didn't blow out a Turkish team.
