\"Whether that is due to his sprained ankle, the wrap on his knee during the game or the real possibility that he’s not a true a point guard, Foye was flat-out bad. Three turnovers and two fouls in only seven minutes does not inspire teammates or the fan base.\"

- I hate to say I told ya so, but...

\"Al Jefferson didn’t start and didn’t amaze.\"

- Wasn't his fault. As you said they weren't getting him the ball. That's the coaches fault.

- That's awesome that you got into it with (Dim)Wittman about Blount. Good for you. Lame answer(s) by Wittman. I don't like him.

\"So, as I did with my last post: What did you see in the game you liked? What causes concern?\"

- If you are so inclined, you can find out in my \"Musings of a Wolves Fan\" article from last night: http://www.twolvesblog.com/college-wolf/minnesota-timberwolves/musings-of-a-wolves-fan...-10-10-07.html
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

I don't totally disagree with your assessment of the game. I only caught about a quarter of it altogether. No one looked good to me, but considering that basically everyone is new to everyone else, perhaps it is not surprising. Patience. Way too early to be either encouraged or discouraged by individual play. Hubie Brown may grate on you, but all announcers make gaffes and at least he does more coach-type analyzing than many. You didn't say that their evaluation of the Rondo/Allen shot was incorrect, simply that they mistook which player made the play. The other announcer should have corrected Hubie. At one point Brown indicated that the young Wolves will need to take more shots than their opponents. Their infamiliarity with one another and general inexperience will make their offense less efficient. To accomplish that they will need to defend the other team's half-court offense and limit them to as few shots as possible. That means getting lots of offensive rebounds, something our teams recently have been inadequate at doing. I don't know if our current crop of big men can do that, but I still feel that was an insightful comment by Hubie. Too many of all the announcers trot out their set list of anecdotes and cliches to fill the time. I would almost rather have no announcers at all, simply up-to-realtime graphics of the action.

I know! I was gonna make a post about this too! I don't think there's any way Foye leads the team in assists this year like some BOTBers think...

How about the first response?

\"I thought McCants and Gomes looked like the only guys who knew what the @#$# was going on most of the time. McCants hit some threes, fed the post, took a charge, and generally seemed to be making good basketball decisions.\"

What?
